Hello I'm Mary and I'm new here

I'm experiencing burn out with caring for mom. I'm the only family member that helps her. Now things are getting more difficult right when I'm at the burnout stage.  I nod someone to talk to about what to do.

Thanks for listening

@m741822a Hi Mary,

It’s so hard, and caregivers need much needed time for themselves.  There will probably be an AARP staff person popping in, but I did want to tell you that there are places to turn, and you are NOT alone.

One of the websites/ organizations that has helped people in giving guidance or even a direction for resources is your local Area Agency on Aging. https://www.usaging.org/findyouraaa

Take a look when you can.  I think you’ll get some more posts here that can also help you.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this.  Caring for your mom alone must be exhausting. Please remember you matter, too. If you ever need someone to talk to, I’m happy to listen. Sending you a big hug and strength.
