Concientous Caregiver
Hello, everyone! I'm happy to be here and looking forward to connecting with this community.
I've spent several years in caregiving and behavioral health, that is what led me to this page-tge caregiver retreat :) I haven't had much time to think about it but I suppose I should be thinking about next year. I thibk Spring would be the perfect time to ease into my next personal caregiver relationship with the right client. my first thought is that I''d especially love to reconnect with a family I've grown fond of. I previously had the privilege of caring for the husband's mother-in-law until she passed, which gave me a meaningful connection with the family. His father is someone I've come to enjoy seeing at church, and I'd love the opportunity to get to know him better and perhaps spend some time checking in on him if he'd welcome the company.
Outside of caregiving, I'm developing a nonprofit vision for an eco-friendly, portable tiny-home community in Northeast Alabama. I'm currently working on grant applications to secure land and building materials while building relationships with professionals, philanthropists, established cooperatives, and off-grid enthusiasts who might want to contribute their knowledge, skills, or resources.
The long-term vision includes tiny-home living, sustainable practices, educational workshops, visiting cooperatives, community events, and even a designated space for off-grid travelers and visitors. I'm particularly interested in connecting with people who understand the value of collaboration and building something that benefits an entire community.
I'd also love to connect with church communities interested in expanding their outreach, potentially through a satellite Tiny Steeple in Northeast Alabama or Northwest Georgia.
I'm here to make friends, exchange ideas, discover resources, and learn what others are passionate about building. Questions, suggestions, introductions, and unexpected connections are always welcome!
Looking forward to getting to know everyone!
