Hope All of you are well today. I am Maria. The latest addition to this large community. I am originally from 🇭🇹. I enjoy watching and learning anything artistic like cooking,  playing music ,dancing and signing in particular.i look forward to learning and sharing tips related to these skills with talented members . I look forward to making lasting frienships in this community. Thank you for having me.

    Hi Maria - wasn’t sure if this was working and wanted to join a chat room with folks who are older as that’s where I am in life. I did join another chat and that has worked out well too but the more the merrier as I need more social outlets I think. I live in Chicago in a senior building in the middle of a nature center so my housing is fab and there are lots of older folks here but I want to try different avenues to connect. I am a widow and my husband passed way eleven years ago. My daughter lives elsewhere in the city but she has a very active social life and I don’t want to burden her. I am independent and so far health has been good but have been diagnosed recently with a rare condition that is slow moving and most people die of something other than this but still it’s a bit shocking. So far not many symptoms other than fatigue and most days I get around very well - some days stride along nicely. I am interested in many things but what I really want is just to connect with others. Hope this works out and enjoy your day!
