Who Still Works Full Time?

Hi everyone,

I'm relatively new to these community forums, so please bear with me as I figure things out!

I’m curious how many of us are over 50 and still working a full-time job during the week. With a full-time schedule, finding time for social activities, hobbies, or meeting new people usually gets squeezed into my weekends along with house/yardwork and errands.

Since I'm based in the Brighton, Michigan area, I was wondering what kind of weekend activities, events, or local AARP chapters have available nearby that actually fit into a working person's schedule?

If you're still working full-time, how do you balance your weekends, and have you found any good local weekend AARP events that keep you connected?

    Jannet ​@JannetB452770 , maybe calling the AARP Customer Service on Monday when they return from being off from the weekend = they should know how you could "maybe" set up a LOCAL AARP CHAPTER for your area (recruit OTHER AARP Members to "help" run it). I am suggesting calling the AARP Customer Service since you seem to NOT be able to hear anything back from the AARP in your state.

    ➡️[*** JANNET - I see now...and appreciate your help.  Have you anyone else participated in a Walk with a Doc event?  How can I get that in my neighborhood?  I already drive 20 minutes in one direction for work.  I would like events closer to home on the weekends.

          Jannet ​@JannetB452770 , I just did a GOOGLE SEARCH for your city & state and found "several" IN PERSON AARP events. You will "probably" need to REDO filters as it seems to "default" to my location in Virginia. Just "click" on CHANGE after using link below. "In Person" is a filter.
