For me, it’s friendly neighbors, feeling safe and being close to the things I need. I also love having places nearby to walk and enjoy the outdoors. A neighborhood where people look out for each other really makes it feel like home.

For me, it comes down to a mix of practical and personal things. Safety is at the top of my list, but right after that is having a real sense of community, neighbors who actually say hi, keep an eye on things, and help out when needed. That kind of connection makes such a difference, especially as we get older.

Safety is number one.  Close proximity to shops and medical facilities next.  Friendly neighbors that actually watch out for each other is a big priority.  And of course, afforability.

Trust in your Community is vital.  Once it’s broken, hard to earn back.

My current community is a mixture of young and old.  And of course, some of us own dogs or cats.  The maintenance staff has been friendly and helpful.

Affordability, things to do and access to my coverage doctors, walkability to parks, and friendly neighbors
