What matters most when choosing a place to call home? Friendly neighbors? Affordability? Walkability? Access to health care, shopping, or things to do?
Tell us what makes a neighborhood or community a great place to live—and what matters most to you.
For me, it’s friendly neighbors, feeling safe and being close to the things I need. I also love having places nearby to walk and enjoy the outdoors. A neighborhood where people look out for each other really makes it feel like home.
For me, it comes down to a mix of practical and personal things. Safety is at the top of my list, but right after that is having a real sense of community, neighbors who actually say hi, keep an eye on things, and help out when needed. That kind of connection makes such a difference, especially as we get older.
Safety is number one. Close proximity to shops and medical facilities next. Friendly neighbors that actually watch out for each other is a big priority. And of course, afforability.
