I would like to see y’all establish a grief group, or several. Small groups sharing regularly is good.

SO GOOD to hear from you @l124289r !!! Sounds like you have set up a "routine" that works for YOU. 👍 I only use an alarm when I have an errand to do or a medical appt. Lol, and I set 3 in order NOT to "sleep" through it. I stay TIRED & cannot wait to REGAIN my "energy". I know mentally I am getting there as far as NOT STAYING IN BED ALL THE TIME. Slowly I am REgaining an "interest" in life. Still angry at losing the luv of my life, but SLOWLY finding "tiny" pockets of PEACE. I will ALWAYS miss him. 😞 Yes, having a "furbaby" has saved me from myself. Lol, he makes sure I am up so he can eat. And add the cuddles I get. His name is Mister. An indoor/outdoor cat. My boy!!! Luv, Nicole 🤗🤗🤗 (Grief Forum)

➡️[*** l POSTED - Fortunately, I have not had to use alarms regularly since becoming disabled about 20 years ago. My support animals have gotten me up and going; now, it’s my senior dog. When I have difficulty sleeping, I often have a snack, watch TV, take another pill, or call a supportive phone line, if it’s not too late. Today I just woke a little early and checked email for new prescriptions for my senior. She’s about ready to go out now so . . . .

SO GOOD to hear from you Cecilia @CeciliaM384861 !!!

It is 60 degrees here in Virginia. I guess time to get my Caladiums ready to be stored for the winter. Never deal't with them before. A neighbor gave me 5 bulbs from Walmart this year for Mother's Day. Been FUN "learning" about them.

Luv,

Nicole 🤗🤗🤗 (Grief Forum)

➡️[*** CECILIA POSTED - I’m doing ok. Today’s weather promises to be sunny so I plan on spending lots of time outside with my pups. I hope you have a great day.  Cecilia

I have not stopped by out of forgetfulness or disregard for this wonderful site.  Since I lost my husband I am having a very difficult time to do just about anything,,,the mind and thoughts control my days and at best all I seem to be able to do is take one day at the time.  Thank you for thinking of me!

👋‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌     "Online" Group WELLNESS CHECKS!!!

[1] WE check on Group Members "online" when WE have NOT heard from them "recently".

[2] WE do "understand" that there are days/nights WE donot feel like "chatting". That is part of OUR JOURNEY to "creating" a life without the person WE lost. ‌‌‌‌‌‌

[3] That is OKAY. Stop by when you do feel like letting us know HOW YOU ARE DOING. We fo care about you always. OUR WELCOME MAT IS ALWAYS OUTSIDE OUR DOOR.

[4] There is NO limit to how long you are a part of this group. Some of us have been participating for YEARS = asking for support & giving support. ‌‌‌‌👍‌‌‌‌

OUR GROUP DISCUSSION!!!

What helps you on those SLEEPLESS nights? 🤔
👣   Keep stepping my friends = WE will get MORE SLEEP as time passes I promise.

➡️[*** Me, lighting an AROMATIC "Bath & Body Works" candle is one option.

Then "blow it out" when I BEGIN to feel sleepy.

I also GET OUT OF BED & find something to "read" or do (chores,AARP Rewards Activities).

Then CLIMB BACK INTO BED when I get "sleepy".

The MORNINGS are the "worst" after one of these nights IF I have to be somewhere.

It is like MY ALARM GOES OFF just when I start my zzz's.

Those mornings are a "test" of my determination to get things done IN SPITE of being TOTALLY EXHAUSTED.

Nicole 💛🤗

‌‌🗒‌‌   Embrace the "NEW NORMAL": Your life and identity will be fundamentally altered, and you may find you have a lowered tolerance for trivial stressors. Focus on the present moment and redefine what gives your life meaning.

Thank you, Summer. I’ve been doing that for about 20 years. My loss of most everything is like an amputation, which has caused disability and occasional  phantom pain. I still have not confirmed meaning but am sole caregiver for my elderly dog for now.

‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌👋‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌  GOOD morning!!!

Another "day" for us to get out of bed, "believing" somehow WE WILL survive while grieving.

Stop by when you can to let us know how you are doing.

Remember to GET BACK UP everytime you fall (stay in bed, depressed, crying and so on).

EVERY TIME you do so = makes you a SURVIVOR.

Someone who "survived" a loss.

Someone who is "creating" a life without someone they cared about.

Keep "stepping" my friend.

I am "thinking" about YOU TODAY/TONIGHT!!!

I grieve the silence and distance of my entire family and lifelong friends. I passed constant crying 20 years ago and at other brief periods. I just live in pain now but I am turning more towards God, which might have been His intent. What else can I do -- besides attend church, volunteer, express friendliness, go and do what seems possible? It’s all “self care” at this point.

Hello Dear Nicole! It is always so wonderful to hear from you. I hope that you and Mister are doing well. I remember that you said you had some tests coming up this month. I hope that they came out good or will come out good. We have been very busy. Jim and I are both trying to keep up with all of the extra work that is getting thrown at us. We are glad to have jobs, but our employers ask so much for the little pay we receive. We wish that we could retire and enjoy our lives more. It gets more and more difficult to keep up with everything and get it all done. We helped the kids and grandchildren get ready for back to school. Nobody wanted to go back this year. The Summer went by too fast for everyone. I have been doing a little decorating for the season. I put around some apples and leaves for Fall. Jim has been bringing home pumpkins and gourds from the Amish, so we have been putting them around the house and on the front porch. I am feeling better today. September makes me sad. Summer is almost over, Winter will be here sooner than we want, it will be the anniversary of my Dad's death. Back in 2015, Monday was my birthday on the 28th, and my wonderful father died from prostate cancer on Friday, October 2nd, which was my great grandmother's birthday. Then, last year in October, my sweet Mom and my mother in law both died. And, we are still grieving the loss of our beautiful little Brea. It is a lot. Some days, like yesterday, I just don't know how we survived it all. I don't know how we kept going. I guess, because we thought that we had to do it.  I look forward to hearing from you, dear friend Nicole. I am going to close for now. I am starting to cry, and it is getting hard to see clearly. Luv and Hugs to you and Mister from me and my Crew. 🤗🙂🐈‍⬛😻😸😺🐈
