Hi Nicole! So nice to see you, and hello to all on the forum. I'm so sorry for all your losses and read your postings with much 💕 and respect. So glad you are all here in the right place at this stage of your journey. It's so helpful to hear what you have to say. I'm grateful to be able to drop by. It's so convenient too for those with aging issues not having to navigate transportation etc.

It's going on 3 years not a day goes by that I don't cry. It would be nice to talk to others that are experiencing the same

[7/12/26] Dear Gail @GailF119427 , so glad you stopped by to see us!!!

Yes dear friend, EVERY day is a "challenge" for me. Some days there are NO "tears" but the "heartache" is there.

NO pressure to share, but feel free to tell us more.

I have had "several" losses as I age. Losing my other half has been the "worst". Never planned on losing him to COVID.

Luv,

Nicole 🤗🤗🤗 (Grief Forum)

I am not certain if I am writing in the correct place or not. My husband passed away on March 10, 2026. Yes I have the support of family, and I try to fill my days with meaningful things, trying to give purpose to my life. I don’t driver, am 81 years old, have no friends (moved here recently), grandchildren are busy with jobs, annd I use a walker etc. I see a therapist, realize each person’s grief is different. I religiously do daily exercises for my physical, mental, and emotional health. I journal and talk to him.  Cognitively, I am pretty sharp and when given the chance I go out either with children or companion. However, when it comes down to reality…..I am alone. A large part of me was ripped away with him. We were married for 57 years and operated as one unit and nothing will fill the void. I welcome your comments and feeling I am part of a group with similar experiences. Right now it just seems that the pain will never stop. Thank you.

I I am closest to him in my grief. I don't want to let go of that. In my sorrow I find joy.

Feeling lonely, scared, confused, and devastated, all I can do is take it one moment at a time.

[6/1/26] Dear Monique @monique1112 , we are ALWAYS here for you dear friend!!!

WE ALL get lonely at times. Some have become "volunteers". Some have made plans to do things with family & friends.

What is scaring you?

Confusion & devastation does happen and taking 1 step at a time has helped me.

NOT an "easy" journey, but one Group Members have SUPPORTED each other on.

SO GLAD you stopped by & hope you you will AGAIN.

Luv,

Nicole  🤗🤗🤗 (Grief Forum)

Hey,Nicole!  I have thought about you so many times over the last few weeks. I hope that this message finds you well. Jim and I have been dealing with a lot as usual. The local news were looking into why the man that caused the accident that killed our granddaughter ,Brea, and injured several others has still not been identified and charged with anything. The only new thing was that the police and DA for the county are trying to figure out what to charge him with. It is so ridiculous. It has been so many weeks, actually going on months. No one understands what the hold up is. So, our family and friends are still dealing with the aftermath of that terrible accident, and other bad things are always happening. 2 of our grandsons had the flu. Our granddaughter, Scarlett, is getting over having strep throat. Stewie was sick and had the runs for a couple weeks. Then, last night, I started feeling real sick. I was throwing up and had to keep going to the bathroom. I chugged down so much Pepto Bismol. I feel much better this morning. Life, it is always something, and too often, it is too many bad things. I try so hard to be positive. As you, I, and so many people on here know, some days, it seems impossible. But,  I am glad that the weather has been sunny and warm. The flowers are blooming. We have family and friends. We have a place to live, food to eat, and enough money to pay the bills. So, we are doing a lot better than a lot of people. I am glad to hear from you,  Nicole!  Much love and so many hugs to you and Mister from me and my Crew!  Take Care and God Bless, us,and everyone! 🙏🙂🐈😺🐱😸😻

Hi my name is Marian. My husband, Gary, died two months ago. I do like to talk about his death as it helps me process it. I lost my first husband 2009. Married Gary in 2016. What a life I have had. I’m not bitter or mad. I’m just lonely. 😏

Thank you. So nice to have others thinking of my loss. My first husband died in 2009. Many of my family members abandoned me as they didn’t like my second husband. Now that my second husband died I hear from 3 out of 12 brothers and sisters. It sure is hard to learn how to live alone and not hear from some of my own siblings. But life goes on and my own children are wonderful.

I am a 53 yr old adult with ASD. My dad was really the only family I had. We always celebrated our bdays together, mine April 3- he fell and had to have brain surgery. Never recovered. Passed on April 10. His bday May 4- I was so lost without him. I feel broken. I feel like the world just got so big and confusing. I dont know how to live without him. Who do I call when life is hard? Who do I have lunch with? Go shopping with? Or celebrate my bday with? I don't know how to do this. I don't want to.

In August, my husband of 26 years fell down the stairs of our new Florida apartment and died five days after we moved here. I cry everyday!!!

My heart aches for you. In 2007, my husband had a motorcycle accident and died within two months of the accident. I was devastated, caught off guard, and felt a host of other emotions. Sending you a virtual hug.
