Anyway, audiobooks have saved me many times from myself. And what I mean is, we need REST to COPE with what life brings our way. Many nights audiobooks have been my SLEEP AID. I find it difficult to read but I have a movie library and a Streaming service. Last night I watched and fell asleep to “His Dark Materials” I also watch “Pride and Prejudice“ a lot. I had a year where I watched “Contact” over and over. Many of the Marvel movies are also favorites. My walking play list songs are therms from many of my favorite movies.

HAPPY DANCE, neighbors ABOVE me was NOT here LAST night. 💃💃💃

Their car was still here yesterday morning (Friday) and I had grit my teeth for a day of them NOT at work and on my LAST NERVE. But life RESCUED me and they left at lunch time. Am I getting a PEACEFUL WEEKEND???

Mr. No Name was VERY WEIRD yesterday. Was lounging on the SIDE of my porch TWICE instead of ON porch/steps or UNDER my car. Lol, about gave me my 1st heart attack as I was busy looking UNDER my car to see IF he needed to come in for water and food. Hmmm, interesting.

Then last night I was OUTSIDE about the time I turned on my Porch Light (9pm) talking to Rosa as we were BOTH concerned about a RANDOM CAR parked in front of our apt building. Lol, she is nosey like me (we the UNOFFICIAL NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH). WE will ask folks HANGING out in FRONT of OUR apts how they are and IF they waiting on someone = drug dealers and their customers NO LONGER hang out in FRONT of our apts. 👍👍👍

Anyway, 2 young guys was backed in BESIDE my car which is also backed in. And yes, smoking their LEGAL weed. I explained to the nice youngsters that this OLD lady has allergies and ONE window in her Studio Apt which she has had to CLOSE earlier than planned due to the weed scent in parking lot. Gosh, go smoke it in the woods of which we have LOTS on our hill. Anyway, they APOLOGIZED and hopefully this was a ONE TIMER.

So Mr. interrupts me and Rosa's chat as I had to go INSIDE to let him IN. 🙄🙄🙄

Another WEIRD change. After eating and drinking water, he goes UNDER MY BED. This is the 1st time. Okay, wants some ALONE TIME I see/lol. So I ignore him and watch Poirot on PBS and about ready to fall out my chair = sleepy.

Mr. is still UNDER MY BED. 🤔🤔🤔

He REFUSED to relocate out my door. Finally had to use my broom to GENTLY nudge him AWAKE and hopefully out my door. Lol, I even SHUT my door which would usually have him DASHING OUTSIDE. Nope - NO movement. Totally EXHAUSTED and NOT wanting to FALL ASLEEP while he is in my apt, I finally got him out. Lol, he was very angry and fought my broom. He sat on my porch LOOKING at my now CLOSED door like I donot believe she put me out look. Felt really bad, but needed to crawl into bed for the night.

Now to see IF he stops by AGAIN...

I HOPE so. He always came back in spite of Ms. Geraldine and her son using a broom to move him out of their way and PREVENT him from getting into the apt. Nope, he was NEVER allowed INSIDE and the whole complex would HEAR her YELLING at him EVERY MORNING. Lol, she would TRIP over him coming out her door IF she was NOT paying attention.

My cardiologist in CA sent the "referral". Hopefully, I should hear from the new cardiologist soon. I got the new refill prescription for my rheumatoid arthritis yesterday. The material that came with it is scary. It says it "may cause cancer" and that it is used to treat cancer!!!! Now I have to figure out should I take a medication for my arthritis that can cause cancer? Can I tolerate the pain until I see the new rheumatologist and avoid the medication I fought so hard to refill? Is the cure worse than the illness? I am so confused. I am thinking I should maybe get the family doctor next and that they could do the referrals to the other doctors that I need.

There are many medications with that warning. I have been taking one for my diabetes for the last 30 years. You have to weigh the risks. If you or members of your family have a tendency towards cancer, you might not want to risk it. But if not getting help with the pain might be worth the risk. My Dr checks me for cancer every 6 months. If it does start up catching it early will keep the damage to a minimum. You do need to have a discussion with your doctor and weigh the risks vs the rewards. In the end it is your decision to make.

My neighbors all love to cook and bake as well. Brittany makes all kinds of bread and Briana cooks. My table at the Block Party was a hit. I had watermelon (the firemen loved it because they said it hydrated them), a bowl of candy (kids loved it), chips, pretzels and I baked a Pecan Praline cake which the new mothers loved. The one neighbor said his kids were mad at him because he ate half of the lasagne himself! 😁 It is fun cooking and baking for people that enjoy it. I have already scheduled the two little girls next door to come and bake Christmas cookies with me. My poor son; his air conditioner went out in his car! 106 and no air. I let him take my car. He took it in; they said they fixed it and when he arrived home, it went out again. He thinks it is a short in the system. I didn't know that it got so hot here but I am not complaining. It was 123 where my friend in CA lives!!!!!!!! Hope your feet get better soon and I hope that Allen is ok. Glad to see that Dr. Diane is taking care of herself. Sorry that my thoughts are all over the place today.

Lol, oh YES - I now keep my purse, car keys in a small plastic container from Dollar Tree and had ordered a SPARE set of Car Keys. Spent WAY TOO MANY mornings crying - piss.d - stressed when the keys seem to disappear. 😱😱😱

How are YOU? 🤔

Quiet day for me = NO errands. Lol, was suppose to make that LONG DELAYED trip to the Laundry Mart YESTERDAY. Yes, the one I usually do EVERY SPRING = wash Winter Stuff (including comforter) to store for NEXT Winter. Between the extended Winter this time and storms, yours truly has NOT been this year. Will try week after next. 🙄🙄🙄

Need the space in my Studio Apt for SUMMER stuff until FALL arrives.

SO GRATEFUL Summer is only 3 months (well, suppose to be). 💃💃💃

Well let me go empty the container in my Utility Room before it overflows./lol 🤣😂

Overnights when I do sleep cuts it close. Sleepless nights I can keep an eye on it.

I’m feeling kinda normal this morning. My biggest problem is I keep losing things. My all time favorite scissors were MIA and after two days of inspecting every inch of my one bedroom apartment, I gave up and ordered a new one. I’m now double checking the location of important things like my keys and phone. I may buy some Air tags to put on important things until this part of the grief recovers. I am very dependent on the driving instructions my phone provides. I know this will pass, but it is darned annoying.

Meanwhile, I also have two Dr appointments next week. Time to check my eye pressures and the cardiologist wants me in for my 4 month checkup. I’m glad my blood pressure has come back to normal. Those last couple of weeks with my husband were very stressful and all my numbers were very out of wack.

How are those toes doing?

Good for you! I have lots of puzzles. They keep my mind from constantly worrying. I religiously do the Times puzzles every morning with my coffee.

My boy likes the sidewalks and under cars. Lol, use to be Ms. Geraldine's car and sidewalk [still is when she randomly stops by to see her son since moving out]. Now mine since I now feed him. SMART cat!!! 👍👍👍
