Signing away my privacy - NOT

I just attempted to enroll in two online classes - chair yoga and strength training.  With both (and I'm assuming for ALL classes), I am required to agree to let AARP use my name and photos for any purpose they wish.  WHAT???  This seems ridiculously intrusive to me, and I'm told there is no way to opt out of this requirement.  So - do I get a discount to not being able to access this part of AARP?

Hi, that’s good you read the privacy policy.  I believe Cvent is the company hosting these things as I just looked at another event to see.

if it’s using zoom, see if you can turn off camera settings on your computer or tablet.

During the pandemic I participated in many zoom classes that the gym held when they were closed.  Many of us had our own screens black and only had it to see the instructor screen.
