I am 71 years old and as with most seniors, politics is a vital and important topic. When will AARP restart a Politics and Current Events forum where seniors can discuss important political issues? We had a Politics & Current Events forum here for years and AARP eliminated it. Why? Such important issues should not be ignored, and seniors should be given a forum to discuss them in. Does anyone else agree with this? What about it, AARP, will a political forum ever be reinstated for us seniors? If not, why not?

I agree with the first poster but I can also see how a forum like that would explode with disagreements, heated arguments hurt feelings. It would be a nightmare for a moderator to keep the peace, maybe even impossible. I have seen it happen on Facebook and I seldom go to my page and when I do I try to post positive comments and avoid convertations. Some of you can correct me but in my generation (I’m 70 and live in the deep south) I was taught to “Never discuss politics, religion or money.” Even today I think that saying is more true than ever.
