We are enhancing the AARP Online Community to provide an improved user experience while preserving the connections and conversations you value.

To make that possible, we will be transitioning to a new platform that provides a strong foundation for today's experience and future enhancements.

Whether you are using a computer, tablet, or smartphone, you will continue to have a place to connect, share experiences, and discover helpful information.

Over the next few weeks, we will share updates and guide you through the transition, so you will know what to expect every step of the way.

To learn more about what is coming, visit: https://www.aarp.org/games/community-information/

Thank you for being an important part of the AARP Online Community. We are excited about what’s ahead and look forward to sharing more with you soon.

[7/23/26] @AARPTeri , thanks for the "heads up". Will any forums be DELETED?

Yes, it mentions here - https://www.aarp.org/games/community-information/ that we will be removing forums that haven't had activity in the past few years, and we will be making small modifications, but most of the topics will look very familiar to you all!  We are so excited for this!

@AARPTeri   I noticed Private Messages will not transfer.  Is that only the messages we currently have?  Or will the feature of Private Messages no longer exist?  Thank You.

Hi Teri

the system is not letting me add a photo from my library or from my saved AARP photos. Is this having to do with the new community format (no more photos )🙄

Does this mean we might finally be able to block posts?

Don’t see that in this new board @WebWiseWoman now.    Maybe that can be added “feedback” that would prove valuable.

@AARPTeri , will we be able to choose a dark theme for those of us with sensitive eyes? I can force the browser to do so, however it doesn't work with all sites.

The New Experience seems to have gone LIVE without a promised heads up.  How about a word from AARP ?

I’d be interested in how to navigate the threads when they default to Oldest first.  Yes, they can be manually changed, but on EACH one!  I cannot find a way to have the display changed in settings the way it was in the old board for the entire board.  This will be highly problematic if a user cannot change this setting for the entire board.

Where is the ability to edit or  delete a given post?

I am hoping you read the post on how to edit or delete a post -  https://community.aarp.org/general-help-8/what-to-expect-during-the-transition-7363?postid=313302

Yes I did.  I always read your posts @AARPTeri   The time to edit is a small window as well as to delete.  Hope you get to play a song title game soon, so you can see what we are up against.

Feedback: The newest post setting should be the default, not the oldest one. Very cumbersome and unnecessary. Also there should be font options as we had before to make your text bigger. We are not 20 somethings (Pretty sure) with great vision. Thanks

Feedback — I would agree totally on all of that you’ve mentioned.  It’s Ass-backwards for no reason.  I can’t imagine what it’s like for those on a computer with no touch-screen capabilities.  I’m Using a touchscreen and it’s annoying enough, but computer users having to click each and every thread it’s gotta be cumbersome and at some point just walking away would be understandable in frustration.  The font alone is tiring!
