Question

CAN'T GET A RESPONSE FROM AARP

Every time I try to use REWARDS to get gift cards, I’m an either kicked off the site or transferred to a different are of the site to PURCHASE cards with my personal funds.   I’m feeling like this is all a scam.  If the only thing you can do with rewards is “spin” only to be told you didn’t win anything, what is the point of rewards if only to get you to a page to buy gift cards instead?  I’m concerned that once I hit “create” this question will either disappear or show only AARP generated answers.

Thank you.

Hi @KathleenL538746, Any luck yet?
I know I’ve seen your question on the comments section in How Do I Redeem My Rewards Points video as well.  I had hoped pointing you here would’ve gotten a swifter resolution to what you’ve been experiencing .

Hi @KathleenL538746

I can understand why you'd be frustrated if you're getting redirected or unable to redeem rewards when that's what you were trying to do in the first place.

AARP Rewards offers several types of redemptions, including gift cards, but it sounds like something isn't working as expected in your case. If you're consistently being redirected or encountering issues redeeming rewards, contacting Member Services would be the best next step so the issue can be reviewed and if needed, a case can be created for the Rewards Team:

How To Contact AARP: https://help.aarp.org/s/article/contact-aarp

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and hope this can be resolved for you quickly.

Kathleen @KathleenL538746 , I just REread your post TWICE to make sure I am NOT missing this. I tend to sometimes "miss" some of what was posted. Anyway, NOT seeing where you called the AARP Rewards Customer Service. That is what I do whenever I have "issues" with my Rewards Account. NO pressure to listen to this old lady. But IF interested, their phone number is (866)451-6305. AARP is open weekdays 8am ET to 8pm ET. Closed weekends. They can pass your info onto their IT Department.

Take care,
