AARP Birthday Rewards emails are crap!!

today is my birthday - i get an email from AARP saying select either a walmart or Amazon gift card for my birthday - then I am made to spin for it - which i did not win the spin so no card - total crap!!!

      Hey, at least you got an email.  I never get one on my birthday.  And I mean never!  I have been a member for over 25 years.  Of course giving you a free spin for something sure shows what they think of the members because they hardly ever pay off.

            I've been a member for 12 1/2 yrs. and I didn't even know they aknowledged members birthdays.

        Happy Birthday. It appears there may be some confusion between two separate Rewards activities.

        The birthday email invited you to spin the birthday wheel for a chance to earn Rewards points. The Amazon and Walmart gift card offers displayed on the Rewards site were separate Instant Win opportunities that required a points redemption for a chance to win a prize.

        Although both offers may have been available at the same time, they were not connected. Redeeming points for an Instant Win entry did not impact the birthday wheel spin, and Instant Win prizes are awarded only to selected winners.

        If you have not already done so, please return to the birthday email and follow the instructions there to claim any Rewards points you earned from the birthday wheel promotion.
