😱 AARP - are we able to BLOCK "some" members from sending us PMs? thanks!

Hi AARP Darryl ​@DarrylL35959 , thank you SO MUCH for "responding" to THIS THREAD. Could you "ask" whomever is in charge IF they could "consider" setting up this NEW SITE in a way where we are SAFE from the folks who are here to hook up. It is NOT a "Dating Site" the last I heard. There are members out there who are POTENTIAL FRIENDS. With the OLD SITE, we could "block" without restricting who can SEND us messages. Anyway, just a thought. Lol, and to all the folks looking for a luv connection, please DONOT send me anymore "messages". You are clogging up my IN BOX. Not interested. Be safe All, Nicole!

With the new Community platform, there is not currently an option to block Private Messages from specific members. However, you can limit who can send you Private Messages by changing your settings from Everyone to People you follow.

To update this setting:

1. Select your avatar/profile icon in the upper-right corner of the page.
2. Choose My Settings.
3. Select the General tab.
4. Under Receive private messages from, select People you follow.
5. Click Save changes.

This will limit Private Messages to members you follow rather than allowing messages from everyone. If you receive a message that violates the Community Guidelines, please report it to the moderation team so it can be reviewed.

​@SummerOnTheWay1  It’s not exactly what you want but you can limit who you get them from by first clicking on your profile pic, choosing settings, then go to The general tab to change the PMs to just who you follow.
