We hope you're enjoying Atari Asteroids on AARP Games. There are some nuances to the gameplay on desktop and mobile and we hope the following tips will help with your gaming experience. Thank you and enjoy!   Game-Specific Tips:   Asteroids: On desktop or laptop, you can use your keyboard’s arrow keys to maneuver your ship instead of the on-screen arrows, if you so choose.   General Tips - All Atari Games:   On desktop or laptop, be sure to keep your cursor inside the gameplay area. Moving your cursor outside the gameplay area will pause the games.    Using a mouse instead of your laptop’s touch pad can make for smoother play.

Just keep playing and having fun. You get better the more you play.

In Swap Puzzles, take a mental picture of the original image and do not get distracted by the moving puzzle pieces; turning the sound off can help if you are easily distracted. Sometimes there will be many moves of the puzzle pieces and you only need one swap to complete the picture.

When you lose a life in Snake, there will be a brief pause—and then you'll start controlling your snake from the opposite direction. If you happen to crash, pay close attention to the white ball at the head of the snake. It'll travel down the length of your snake's body, and play will resume immediately once it reaches the end. If you prepare for the change in direction, you'll be able to smoothly navigate from there.

Don't like the cards in your hand and want to start a new one?  If you notice the option to "fold" is grayed out consider this:   This has to do with the way bets are placed in a Texas Hold 'Em round. Simply, the reason you're not able to fold in certain situations is because you currently have bet chips matching the current high bet. This often happens when you automatically ante chips at the beginning of a round, and then no one at the table raises that bet. In that case, there is no reason to fold, as you've already put your chips into the pot. If you don't want to put any more (virtual) money on the table. Just click "check," which acknowledges that you don't need to bet any more and passes on to the next player. It's that simple!   Now it's your turn to play Texas Hold ‘Em Poker! 

There are a lot of different combinations of hands you can make in Texas Hold 'Em—and if you're new to poker, you want to be sure you know if you're holding some great cards. While Playing Texas Hold 'Em, remember you can access the menu at any time by clicking the three horizontal lines at the top left of the screen. Once you do, click on "hand," and you'll see a pop-up window of every possible combination. Play Texas Hold ‘Em Poker!    

In Snake, patience is a virtue. Try to keep your snake moving along walls and barriers and let it stretch out fully. The fewer quick turns you make, the less area your snake takes up—and the less chance you have of accidentally running into yourself. You often should avoid making quick turns if you miss a ball, as that increases the likelihood that you'll crash into your snake's trailing body. Instead, if you miss a ball, take the long way, letting the snake straighten out before going back in.   Give Snake a try! 

If you try to rush and swap the pieces of the image too many times you will fail that puzzle and the game will move you on to the next one. Sometimes when I play a crossword, even first one for the day, I don't get Member Rewards, other times I do. Am I doing something wrong to where I am not getting them? Thanks for any and all help!!!

I've gotten up to Level 19 in Think Memory. However, if I quit the program and return, the highest level I can start with again is 10! Even though at the top it says my highest level was 19. Why can't I continue at 19 and go from there? It's frustrating to have to start all over again at 10! Any fix for this?

In the game bubble shooter how do you avoid busting multiple power balls on the top row?

Play can select and remove actual words or sequences of the same three letters in a row. For example: Select "SSS" to remove it and receive a small amount of points.   Have you played Word Wipe? Try it now!
