Question

When has apologizing changed a relationship for the better?

I apologized to my wife for a tone I had been calling “just tired." I didn’t add an explanation. I didn’t ask her to meet me in the middle.

The next morning was ordinary. That was the change.

When has apologizing changed a relationship for the better?

Thank you for sharing this in such a simple and honest way. I really like your point that an apology does not need a long explanation to matter. Listening, speaking kindly, and showing patience and respect can make a relationship feel safer and calmer, even in small everyday moments. An ordinary morning can be a good sign that trust is growing again. Thank you for this thoughtful reminder.
