I don't know where I should post this.   But I would love your favorite gazpacho soup recipe.   It was 95 degrees today and a cool soup would have hit the spot.

Not sure where this fits so I'm starting a new topic! So let's see if it takes off!Do you have any fun facts to add to this?

Here is a current list of Registered Antimicrobial Products which can be used against the Novel Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, the cause of COVID-19. You have to use them as directed, meaning that they have to remain on a treatable surface for the recommended amount of time. The EPA Registration number for the product should be shown on the package label - so don't just go by the name of the product.  EPA.gov 03/02/2020 - EPA’s Registered Antimicrobial Products for Use Against Novel Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, the Cause of COVID-19   I am gonna cross post this in several AARP community boards so that many will see it.

Have a great day!It has been a very long time since I have visited. I doubt I even know anyone here anymore, except for Dave. I migrated to Facebook some years ago, and with a busy work schedule, quit visiting all social networks except for Facebook. Well, with an addiction to Facebook and so much going on, political and what not, I have deactivated my Facebook account. I live in ND in the heart of the No Daple Protesting. Well, without much censoring, I tired of all the evil and lies I was exposing myself to. Actually, if  you believe in God, and understand what conviction is... well my conviction was I needed to leave Facebook. But I miss it terribly. So today, I am saying "hi"  here. I started back in 2008.  Things have changed so much, and I am trying to find my way around. Now on my IPad verses my computer, so once again another learning session. Peggy

I couldn't find a forum to initiate this topic so starting here. We in Nevada are seeing an uptick in wrong way traffic accidents, most resulting in tradegy. My neighbor and I chatted about this and wonder why the groups that study this have not recommended those wrong-way tire spikes (the ones that won't let you leave a parking garage without paying) aren't part of our infrastructure? I know there are some as I seem to remember driving over them somewhere (perhaps Oklahoma or Arizona). We know those have been around for years; why isn't this a regular part of all roadway construction? I am sure we're not the only area having this issue. It is heartbreaking to know families are being devastated by these preventable issues. Any Traffic Engineers who could address this, and how do we bring it to be standard practice? Thanks in advance!

While no longer faith believer, I love people who do something wonderful for others. Here's my first favorite this year: NFL star Khalil Mack pays off 300 holiday layaway accounts at a Walmart in his hometownSource: CNN Chicago Bears star linebacker Khalil Mack is spreading Christmas joy by paying off all the holiday layaway accounts at a Walmart in Florida. The store in Fort Pierce, Florida, Mack's hometown, shared the news on Facebook on Friday. "We here at Walmart would like to thank the Khalil Mack Foundation for your generosity, and for making so many families happy for the holidays!" they said. "Everyone is truly [grateful] for everything you have done for them!" A representative from Mack's foundation came to the store and asked to be a "secret Santa," according to the store manager, Mathias Libardi. The payment covered all the store's 300 holiday layaway accounts.

The word ‘phobia’ is from the Greek ‘phobos,’ meaning ‘fear.’ When talking about phobias, there should be a prefix attached to the beginning of the word, for example: arachnophobia, which is the fear of spiders; this prefix should also be in Greek, although as time has passed others have appeared, such as those in Latin and other languages.Have you ever stopped to wonder why you fear what you do? Some people are scared of leaving their houses (agoraphobia), some are scared of spiders (arachnophobia), and some people are scared of germs (germophobia). But why do people fear these things? What about bigger fears? Like fear of failure, fear of humiliation, fear of rejection, fear of making a mistake? What do you fear? But more importantly, why do you fear it?  I have feared that I have forgotten to lock the house dor when we leave to someplace for decades! So what is your biggest fear? Yes! Everyone is afraid of something. We fear things because we valu

@TainH955417  - not sure if you were directing your question to me or someone else.  However, I am single (I'll never marry again) and at the moment, not dating anyone exclusively.  Why do you ask?

Who is still out there? We seem to have come to a grinding halt! I noticed this morning that I am the last poster on most active topics. I know that with the start of the 2019 Hurricane season getting off with such a bang! With the continuation of so many world wide issues ranging health care to how to deal with asylum seekers. From issues like mass shootings to having our grandchildren vaccinated before they return school. All issues we on our Front Porch will never solve here. Hoping everyone is having a restful weekend and is getting ready for next week!

Remember when we were young and fearless and... yes, stupid, too?  Ran across the article on 19 Dangerous Things Kids Used To Do That Would Not Be OK Today. Boy, did that bring back memories! Miracle some of us survived, but that's not saying we escaped totally unscathed either.  I remember when little brother did the 'ride the handlebars' trick with a friend down the street (of course, no helmet or pads) and they wiped out.  Little brother ended up in the hospital with bashed head. Another time, same brother and I were doing a skateboard 'train' down a steep concrete sidewalk.  Back then, skateboards were nothing more than roller skate wheels attached to a board.  He was the caboose and he took me out.  This time, I ended up in the ER with screwed-up ankle.  Couldn't walk all summer.  To this day, I still have a lump in that ankle. Remember jacks and pick-up sticks?  We used to throw those pointy sticks at each other.  A

I have been living with the same man for 12 years. We used to be so in love but not anymore. We havent been intimate in 7 years after a terrible miscarriage. I want so badly for both of us to just move on but he has quit working and will be homless if i tell him to leave. I feel like i am stuck in this depressing life.  I dont know exactly how to end this for good and move on.  What do you think i should do?

Our happy family time !

When I was 5 years old, I would go to my friend Susie's stoop and we would play.  She lived in a 3 story building where all three floors were filled with her relatives. There were younger boys on the first floor that would also come out to play with us.  And two on the top floor.  Susie lived on the second floor.  As we got older the kids from the neighborhood seemed to be attracted to that stoop.  They would play baseball in the street and we would watch from that stoop.  Every day around 5:00 somewhere in the building, the mothers from the three floor and the grandmother that lived on the third floor would have cocktails.  During the nice weather, they would bring out chairs and have their drinks on the stoop.  What a great way to grow up.
