Unemployed & Starting Over

Hello. My name is Felicia. I just had my 52nd birthday and also was laid off a few months prior. I would like to start my own small business. Unemployment will end soon and I need a few ideas on side work until I start having a few customers. I have used the AARP Career page and no jobs yet. If you know of anyone who has an online business and needs a website audit or help with systems then send me a comment. I have many technical skills. It is just a hard market right now. Thanks.

    ​@cc29176777 , the "trick" is to FILL A NEED & different states and cities/towns will have DIFFERENT NEEDS. As a example for my location here in Virginia, MEDICAL everything owns the Job Market. Another example would be New York for anyone wanting to get into music. California seems to still be the place to be for Technology. Try to LEARN whatever is "needed" in your area or online. Maybe find a MENTOR who is doing what you want to do. It may just be me being OLD at age 68, but go KNOCK on some doors. Speak with their HUMAN RESOURCE FOLKS. Alot of jobs are NEVER "advertised". The only way to find these is to ASK. Lastly, RESEARCH what "problems" a company maybe experiencing & offer YOU as the SOLUTION. BE CAREFUL with anything AI can do = it will be REPLACING YOU soon. Depending on your location, the Chamber of Commerce has ALOT of "free" resources to help you with your biz idea. Sign up with "several" Temporary Staffing Agencies. Over the years I got "hired" by their clients = they liked my work & I wanted the job. And you can "walk away" from any assignments or job offers with NO "strings attached". Take care, Nicole!
