II have been retired for three years now. And I have just finished by first manuscript.  It is coming to Amazon by the end of this month. I talk about accepting loss of career and understanding that my identity was never my role or job but getting to know me as been very refreshing. My book title: Life After Death Resilience, Identity, and Revelations During Grief and After Loss.         Due to seeing commercials about clinical trials I am writing this to find out how much you know about them which companies are preferable to join and are any in the Kansas City Mo area. I am 71 restarting my life and would need as much money as I can earn and clinical trials may be an ideal way to accomplish this.  

I'm looking for a part time job with little success.  I have a bad back, so anything requiring standing for extended periods of time isn't possible. Any and all suggestions are welcome.  Thank you!

I am very happy to see some bus stops reopening.  I am proud of you all.  Lets keep it up.  Also some people may have had experience in keeping our military equipment in good working order.  The buses Metro operates are built by Gillig Corporation.  And they are the best buses I have ever ridden.  They got all the bells and whistles that you could ever think of.  The more we fill these positions, the better chance more bus routes in senior territory will reopen.   https://www.metrostlouis.org/careers/  

I have been at my job since 2021. I started at the bottom, using handheld scanners, & worked my way up, now I have my own work station with a computer. I am 52 & have office experience. My company uses D365. I have never used D365. I was only trained in the bare minimum of the shipping/receiving process. Now, accounting needs me to adjust receipts for invoicing purposes. I do not know how to do this.I work with 18 to 30 year olds  I am a rarity. I ask for help, they just laugh & make smart remarks. Ive spoken to my supervisor & manager, they too do the same. I am stuck. Anyone here have experience in the retail mainly in receiving  that uses D365 F& O?

Driving a bus does have some side effects such as having to work nights and weekends.  But anyone who gets that job is really doing a great service for tourists.  And it is the driving source in keeping our hotels, retail shops, restaurants, and hospitals open.  The bus driver has the authority to make passengers behave and can put troublemakers off of his or her bus.  And here is another perk.  Metro's new electric buses are very quiet!   Metro has four bus garages.  One in Brentwood just north of Marshall Avenue just outside Webster Groves.  Another is at DeBalivere and Delmar.  There is a 3rd one in St. Clair County, Illinois and the main one is at the corner of Compton and Spruce Streets.  Most of the bus routes that serve the areas that are home to many veterans are in South St. Louis County and they operate out of the Brentwood Garage.   The more bus driver job vacancies we fill, the sooner we will reopen

The National Museum of Transportation is in need of some volunteers and at one time, they allowed someone to set up shop and restored some of their exhibits which were one of their buses.  As of now, they have bus number 4878, 7063, and 8360.  I am not sure if they have any Gillig Phantoms but it would be cool if they do.  If you want to help out the Museum in restoring the buses, they would love to have you!  I would love for the museum to have those buses running again!  Lets show that we would want St. Louis to have it's own vintage buses running once again.  

Sometimes our veterans spent long hours fixing military equipment while fighting for our country.  St. Louis Metro could use some of those veterans to work at the garages to be there to fix the buses, Call-a-Ride vehicles, and MetroLink trains.  One of the main causes for farebox malfunctions is dirt and suet getting inside causing the readers and other parts inside to not work like they should.  An easy fix would be to take the farebox apart and to blow the dirt out of all of the mechanical parts, and to thoroughly wash the glass on both sides so that the driver can see the dollars roll when they enter the box.  Sometimes the seatbelts on the Call-a-Ride vehicles don't want to extend properly.  Metro needs the mechanics so that way Call-a-Ride can have someone to fix them so that way the seatbelts will extend properly when someone is trying to buckle up.    https://www.metrostlouis.org/careers/

Metro Bus route number 9 connects several things together such as the River City Casino, grocery stores and restaurants.  Making ridership be very high in south county is great since it could help trigger expansion and that is great for those who are our ages to be able to find work and keep jobs.  One of the bus routes that could be one of the next in line to close is MetroBus route number 9.  It runs from the Shrewsbury station, then it heads south on S. Broadway, continues south ont Kingston, and then further south onto Telegraph Road.  The route provides a nice connection to Jefferson Barracks Park and National Cemetery.  Taking a ride on it just to see where it goes might be the ticket to finding places on where to work as well.  As for now, the line runs only on the weekdays and it runs only an hour apart.  But if we get enough riders on this line, it would help big time such as getting the ridership count going in the right direction and that i

I cleared cache and cookies and logged in and out, but there's nothing when I click Job Board. I used to see available jobs, add/update resumes and see results of applications. I tried Job Seekers weekly group as well, but it was harder to participate once I accepted Ride-Share driving. Nothing can really help me because I am victimized by an ex, economic abuse, who wants to prevent work to create unsafe situations. As far as I can tell, places I apply to are threatened so don't hire me. I never faced as many obstacles to work before in my entire life! I'm not giving up and I want to keep trying. Retirement was stolen by ex-husband in 1990's, so nothing else I can do but work until I am 70. Anyone else having issues?I don't have a business to hire others, but I am identity fraud survivor and they have the potential to scam others. How can I find out of a different IP address signed up to post jobs?

I know that some people think that former President George Bush Sr. was an idiot for signing the ADA into law and some may believe that was the ticket to get him voted out of office and his seat was taken over by former President Bill Clinton.   Metro has a job to with it's team and that is to get the workforce up to pre-pandemic levels.  There are still several bus routes that are still closed and Metro is struggling on if they want to open them or to have them remained closed and maybe have them be closed permanently.  Shutting down the bus routes for good is bad for the economy and tourism.  The entire MetroBus fleet is made up of Gillig Advantage low-floor buses.  The steering wheel is adjustable.  You can raise it up and down and also tilt it back and forth.  And their new electric buses are very quiet.  Call-a-Ride is their paratransit service and they cater to those with disabilities.  There are those serving in the mil

State of California Premed plan discriminates against Seniors. 10 yr requirement to collect benefits , no opt out, no return of contributions if u retire, die or leave. Forced deduction of 3.5 % $294 of salary monthly (last contract lowered to 3%) . I can retire in 2 or 4 years but need 6 years working w the state to get the benefit . $294 deduction monthly & I am 63 w stage 4 breast cancer & only 5 yrs w the state. Where does all that $$ go? Ageism at its best. I could better use that money on retirement or anything else. At 65 I will be forced to Medicare, will have social security, Calpers retirement & have money going to a big pot from thousands of employees that I will not reap the rewards. I can also purchase medical from ATT as I retired from there for a lot less than what is being taken out for OPEB.  I figured i have had about $14,000 taken out and no hopes of using a benefit that publishes no real information about what it covers. Although Metro did get some drivers and that is good.  Metro appreciates me spreading the word.  Now I know that some feel afraid to drive the buses because of unruly passengers.  Don't let idiots who want to disturb other customers ruin your chances to become a bus driver.  Once you take the wheel of a public service bus, you have the authority to kick troublemakers off your bus.  I know that the troublemakers would threaten to sue, but what it turns out to be is that a lot of times, once the court views the footage shot on your bus, the judge might think that the money the culprit is after is for stupid stuff such as drugs such as crack.  The vehicles that Metro has recently bought for Call-a-Ride and what Via uses for their services are tricked out versions of family vans and minivans.   By law, Metro does NOT have the authority to turn you away as a job applicant because of age, religion, sex, or even if you have served in the military.&
