Question

free resume help?

I am a newbie. In many aspects: new to AARP, new to Orlando FL vicinity, newly divorced, and now new to the ever so different workforce. 
I am a 59 y/o woman who now needs to rejoin the workforce after being a stay at home wife/mom/grandma for the past 27 years.  I’m lost. 
Does AARP, or anyone, offer free assistance for building a resume for someone in my current situation?   TIA for any guidance you may provide.

    Hey Tami ​@TamiC71113 , I am now in Virginia, but use to live in Florida up until 2015.

    Orlando was one of the "many" cities I lived in while there.

    There should be a JOB Center run by Orlando or the State of Florida.

    Back in the years, I was able to get "help" from them in many ways & EVERYTHING WAS FREE!!!

    (1) They have computers/laptops you can use for Job Searches & creating/editing Resumes.

    (2) Companies CONTACT them looking for "employees" = center will REFER you to them for an INTERVIEW.

    (3) If you get "laid off", they also help with your APPLICATION FOR UNEMPLOYMENT.

    (4) They also have "resources" to LEARN OR IMPROVE job skills. Depending on GRANTS, sometimes you can attend school too.

      HI. I use Chatgpt to create my resume based off ATS formate. I upload an old one and edit it.

        Hi TamiC71113,

        My name is Adam and you really don’t need all the fancy resume app places and charging you a fee. What I would do is if you have an old resume, or a friends resume, look it over and just cut and paste your current information into that resume and Wolla, you have a 26k resume. 😎
