How to get AARP promo code for discount on Thriftbooks

I am an AARP member wanting to use the AARP discount available on ThriftBooks. Per ThriftBooks blog November 2025, I would verify membership by keying AARP member number in given link and receive a promo discount code to use at checkout. The link did not provide a way to verify membership.

I contacted ThriftBooks customer service who suggested:
“I'd recommend reaching out to AARP directly to inquire about their partnership with ThriftBooks and how to obtain your member discount code. They should be able to provide you with a code that you can apply at checkout. “

Can you help please?

Hi Nicole, I tried calling AARP Customer Service and couldn't get past the agent selling emergency pendents to a person who could help.  Very disappointing.  Thank you for responding.  Diane

Hi leslieaquaviva,  Thriftbooks.com is a website to purchase used books at reduced prices.  Their November, 2025 blog talked about an additional discount for AARP members, but the link to confirm membership and receive a promotional code does not work. I'm hoping someone at AARP or in the community can provide instructions how to get an AARP promo code when ordering from Thriftbooks.
