AARP Videos not running

Why do I get these messages on a few videos, while the vast majority of the videos work without any problems?

“This video is either unavailable or not supported in this browser

@Pops109   What browser are you using, and what version?  On what type of device?

Hi, iPad and iPhone.  Safari latest version

Ok, try switching from Safari and use Chrome and see how that goes.

In addition, have you tried using the AARP App on your IPad?  One  caveat… When I view videos in the AARP app on my IPad, the videos tend to stick and are stuck on a black screen, buffering.  When this happens which is always, I keep clicking on the play button on the video’s task bar until it engages.   Annoying, but works.

AARP has recently made an update to the app which has had a few glitches lately, namely for me the Community discussion boards.  So using Chrome on Ipad and accessing AARP via the website, instead of app for the last week has been a workaround for me.

Maybe when Mods see this they might help…but I’d try switching browsers to see if it’s any better.  I know we shouldn’t have to do all of this but….

@Pops109 , I have had NO issues of this kind. NO pressure to answer my questions, I will understand. When did this "issue" start? Which videos - for example, exercise - recipes - social security & so on.

Videos that don’t work for example are “ Beginner Barre workout with Fitness Expert Kathy Smith” and “ Guided Breathing: Two minute Breathing  -AARP

@Pops109 , I appreciate your response. I do the "Beginner Barre" everyday. Lol, if I remember correctly I may do the Kathy Smith one. Getting old. Anyway, not an expert - but in the past, when I had this "error" popup when trying to VIEW videos (not AARP videos), had to do with what I was using to view. The app.

(1) Have you ALWAYS not been able to view the "Beginner Barre" AARP video?

(2) I use to get that "error" on my PBS & PRIME apps on my Android Cell phone a few years ago. I am trying to remember what I did, but I know it was what my phone was using to VIEW videos.

(3) Do you have a Techie in your family? Maybe they or you can find what your "device" is USING to "view" videos.

Hate that you are going through this.

➡️[*** Have you called the AARP Rewards Customer Service? Their number is different from their other Customer Service. Their number is (866)451-6305. AARP is open weekdays 8am ET to 8pm ET. Closed weekends.
