AARP Consumer Cellular Program Doesn't Support Single Seniors

Consumer cellular offers a special unlimited data plan to AARP members - $55 for two lines.

Unfortunately my wife succumbed to cancer in 2023 and I only need one line of service now being alone.  I sent a message to Consumer Cellular, and I actually received a callback; however, the gentleman who called could only tell me that is the way the plan is setup and there wasn't anything that could be done.  I know that AARP has significant influence with Consumer Cellular and ask that they please reach out to Consumer Cellular and ask them to offer a special unlimited data plan to AARP members who like me have lost their spouse, life partner or otherwise single.  Thank you.

      There are many cheap cell plans available. I wouldn't limit myself to Consumer Cellular. Here is a link or you can search for "low cost cell plans".

      Dirk - I am aware of other plans, but I already have a plan with Consumer Cellular.  My point is that I feel that AARP should be advocating for seniors who have suffered the loss of their spouse or partner.  Thank you.
