I am feeling so lonely since my husband passed away.  The house is so silent.  I'm trying to do things with friends, but even when I am laughing with them, inside I feel like crying.  I feel so empty inside!  😞

Mahjongg seems to be everywhere lately—from online games to local groups getting together to play. Are you already a fan, just learning, or wondering what all the excitement is about? Do you prefer playing online or around a table with friends? Share how you got started, your favorite way to play, or your best advice for someone who wants to learn!

Hi, I am brand new to reaching out in forums to find answers.  About a year ago we found my 56 year old sister dead, she appeared to have just passed away in her sleep.  She had not been answering her phone or her text for like 18 hours so me, my husband, and her best friend headed over to her house because something was definitely wrong.  I had the spare key so I went in first and found her dead, laying in bed, like she was just watching television.  I did call 911 right away and they sent a squad over right away.  After taking in the scene and interviewing us, he did call the Medical Examiner who also responded to the scene as well.  Because there was no apparent cause of death, he ordered her to be taken to the Medical Examiners Office for an autopsy.  Long story short her cause of death appears to be from an accidental acute mixture of prescription drugs.  We also discovered that she had polycystic kidney and polycystic liver disease.  N

My doctor prescribed Premarin Vaginal Cream 0.625 to address my hot flashes. I’ve been on it a couple of years and it has worked well for me. However, it has been on backorder for TWO MONTHS. I’ve called many local pharmacies, and they all say the same thing, it is on backorder and they cannot get it. So, my doctor prescribed another prescription in pill form. This one is unavailable too! This is happening across the country. What’s up? Why is Wyeth Pharmaceuticals LLC and Pfizer, Inc. putting so many women in this situation; it is unconscionable. Any suggestions on how I / we can get our prescribed medication?

Every day I get an email from AARP with the subject “Don’t forget! Finish setting up your AARP membership”. I have been a member for years, and am paid up until 2031. Why am I getting this email every day and how do I stop it? Thank you!

II am attending a grief workshop thru my church for six weeks.  I also attended a 4 week similar workshop in the Fall but this one uses a very good book on grief as a guide for discussion and also includes a journal to write thoughts.  The bottom line seems to be that everyone has their own grief journey to make and whatever you are feeling at a certain time of day or night is perfectly legitimate.  One of my sons said to me that in the spring and summer it will be easier because then I'll be outside gardening and doing yardwork.  That's true.  It has been a long sometimes dreary winter but that doesn't change the fact that I will still be by myself puttering around in the yard and remembering the flower beds he made for me and the deck on the porch.  It kinds of stabs me in the heart.  I continue to cycle thru these first holidays and it isn't that easy but what is the alternative? I have alot to look forward to also. Thanks for letting me share some

@AARPConsumerCare There are a number of games I stopped playing because they aren’t working correctly and don’t award points. I’m aware of per day limits; clearing cache; and win/lose factors for the games I play. The script you use does not apply here. Some will award points after GAME OVER if you hit PLAY AGAIN. Some will award points if you play the game 3 or 4 times on the same day.  I’ve contacted AARP previously with no effect. Today, I contacted Arkadium who stated that AARP has complete control as to when points are awarded.I didn’t bother with a screenprint, but Sudoku penalizes you if you finish too quickly. NO points awarded if you get the answer in 3 minutes. What’s the point of a timer? I have screenshots of the following games to assist you in correcting the problem. CodeWord does not award points 20260907Outspell_20260907ScrambleWords does not award points 20260907WordWipe does not award points 20260907Arkadium says its AARP 2026 09 07

Anyone else frustrated by the ads when playing games?  Some are so long, sometimes they just freeze and you can’t get past them.  I think the bugs surrounding the ads on games should be addressed.  It’s just frustrating.

Today I will be discussing a type of scam that doesn't initially set off any red flags but the more you talk the more suspicious it becomes. This scam has been plaguing dating apps for some time; the main premises of this scam is for the scammer to get the victim to send explicit or revealing photos to the scammer. Who is posing as a beautiful woman on a dating site, then using those photos to blackmail a victim usually stating that the scammer will send the photos to loved ones and or your job unless a ransom is paid. I recently found myself as a potential victim of one of these scams. I was using a dating app and I seemed to match with this girl who was not far from me and recently moved from Oklahoma. I began a conversation that would last two weeks before she sent me her phone number. Me being me, I did a reverse phone number search and found that this number was registered to an elderly man in Texas. This was the first red flag I encountered, upon texting her directly the conversa

Last year the FBI logged over 48,000 phishing reports from people 60 and up, about double the year before. Almost all of it comes in by email. A friend's parent kept getting hit, so we sat down one afternoon and went through the account together. Here is what we did, in the order we did it. Do it with your parent at the keyboard, not you. It goes better.1. Two-step sign-in. Gmail: Google Account, then Security, then 2-Step Verification. Yahoo and AOL: Account Security, then Two-step verification. Use their phone number. Most account takeovers stop right here.2. Recovery email and phone. Someone who breaks in changes these first. Check that both belong to your parent or to you.3. Forwarding and filters. In Gmail that's Settings, See all settings, then the Forwarding tab and the Filters tab. If mail is being forwarded to an address you don't know, delete that rule. On accounts that have already been broken into, this is the thing I find most often.4. Devices and connected apps. Google Ac

Canasta is a classic card game that involves creating melds of cards and forming canastas—sets of seven or more cards of the same rank. It’s a game of strategy, memory, and tactical decision-making.   What is the goal of the game? The goal is to score more points than your opponent by creating melds and canastas. The game ends when one player goes out by playing all their cards.   How do I play? Players draw cards, create melds, and discard cards each turn. You can pick up the discard pile if you can use the top card in a meld. The game includes wild cards (2s and Jokers) that can be used to complete melds.   What are melds and canastas? Melds are sets of three or more cards of the same rank. Canastas are melds of seven or more cards. Red canastas are pure (no wild cards), while black canastas include wild cards.   Can I play with a partner? Yes, Canasta is traditionally played with four players in two partnerships, but this version allows solo play against AI or gr

Denneys restaurant is no longer honoring the 15% Aarp discount for orders on the value menu. As a matter of fact they are not honoring any discount coupons on the value menu items.I am done with Denneys! They sent me a 20% discount coupon in the app. I invited my 84 yr old mother to enjoy 2 super slams only to find out the discount would only be applied to the coffee.
