Hello! Has anyone up here ever won an AARP Sweepstakes? Or knows someone personally who has? I know the odds are against us, but to play these games constantly for years and not win a thing is suspect.....

I won several times, not always when I max out my entries. Now that we have to use so many points to enter (compared to a few years ago), it's harder to max out entries and I find myself entering less sweepstakes each month, either because I am not interested in them or it uses up too many points.

So I haven't won any in a while but I keep trying!

I usually win one a year or so.

Consider what you are playing.

Nationwide or international Retailers like Amazon with online redeem work anywhere in the world. Lots of demand.

Travel cards such as Airlines, Cruises, Hotels, Rental Cars also seem to have similar appeal.

I try to play at least mostly local redeems only. my last was Steak and Shake $100. Fortunate to have a few in my somewhat immediate vicinity. I squeezed probably 15 lunches of that. Of course, never buying drinks.

Cards that redeem locally only and geographically practical are my target. I do still mix it up some. I usually enter at least every sweeps with one entry and go all in on one or two a month.

Consider a guide to be instant wins. The redeem points are higher on some cards mostly due to higher demand and redeem rates. High demand equals more players,

I haven’t won any in 4 years as a rewards member. Unfortunately, none of the “local” retailers are in my area, so I do 1 or 2 all-in of the nationwide ones each month. But I think I will try entering more of the sweeps, but only doing a few entries, and see if my luck changes. Thanks for the tips.

But Omaha Steaks, Cheep $5 redeem, cannot spend those locally but they seem ever present at the bottom of the list. Could be though, a $100 (or more) card would have good interest.

Actually, Omaha Steaks was the first sweeps (08/2020) I won. It took two months to get the emailed gift card. But that was back then and then wasn’t much fun. So, the reward was a big treat. Also this is when the big market surge in home chef style meals aarp. A $50 Home Chef Gift Card was 117,000 Points Still limited to 3 redeems a month iirc. @LesL269823 , lol - you have given me HOPE!!! Had stopped playing the sweeps, but will begin again "right now" using your tips. Makes sense what you posted. NEVER won one since "joining" the AARP Rewards Program May 2025. Of course I was NOT consistent. Would stop. Then start. Take care, Nicole!

I have never won a sweepstakes, and now that more points are required to play, I have given up. The odds of winning are very slim to none.

won once for old navy. stopped playing with such low chance then points racked up and realized I had to use a large quantity of points or lose them so did them for last several weeks. not a winner yet but at least I won’t lose points another way.
