I get a lot from taking the quizzes… life-long curiosity = life-long learning.  Lots of interesting information for keeping informed about changes in health related topics is a favorite.  I use points to enter contests (not that we’ve ever won). 😉

I like doing the quizzes and earning points. I am always pleased when I get the answers correct and on some I really learn cuz I get the wrong answers. I then like to use the points for the sweepstakes and instant wins, figure one day I will win one. I used to like to redeem them for magazines when you had that program. It keeps me involved and up to date on stuff or just fun to play some of the games. I really am happy to be a member of AARP

Have you tried earning points on video recipes?  Seems too simple really, but fun to do!

I have been purchasing the discounted royal caribbean gift cards which is going to save me hundreds on a special cruise we are taking for our 25th wedding anniversary! I also like redeeming points for gift cards when that is available.

Yes! For sure.  Just saw heads of lettuce for 2.17 each, at Walmart and couldn’t believe it!  Definitely earning rewards for things like groceries at Walmart helps.

Spreading the holiday cheer, and savings, by gift my nieces and nephews gift cards from AARP Rewards.  They get to buy something fun or enjoy an extra coffee, without spending their hard earned money, and I get to save a little by gifting discounted gift cards (or even free gift cards).  It's a win, win, win situation for everyone.  Happy Holidays!

It’s also fun to give them out that way!

I enjoy taking various quizzes and watching videos to earn points and learn many new things. I use points mainly to enter sweepstakes for various gift cards that I use frequently, or to get gift cards at reduced prices. It has been a while since I won a card in a sweepstakes, but I keep trying. Competition is fierce, but I know I have won a couple times in past years, and someone has to win, so I figure my time will come around again one day. Fun, good for the brain, and saves on my wallet.

That’s great that you’ve won from the sweepstakes before.  I’ll get an instant win sometimes, but that’s about it.  Points only for cards has gained me many cards that way.  Good luck! 👍

I will continue to provide for our family with the gift cards earned and the learning it provides for me on a daily basis. Thank you for offering these savings and knowledge for navigating my everyday life.

The holidays always bring a mix of joy and a little bit of stress — the gifts, the gatherings, the meals that somehow always cost more than expected. This year, I wanted to focus less on spending and more on sharing. That’s when I realized how much AARP Rewards could help me do both.

I'll buy a few discounted gift cards — matching the gift with the interests of the recipient. Those small savings added up, and it felt good to give thoughtful gifts without stretching my budget too far.

I'll also buy a few of the gift cards for our favorite restaurant, so that my wife could enjoy a much needed respite from the hectic holiday schedule.

This season, AARP Rewards reminded me that saving isn’t just about keeping money in my pocket — it’s about making my blessings go further. And in a season built on gratitude and giving, that feels like the best reward of all.

Hyper-focused this season on maximizing joy while minimizing cost--that's how I would describe myself this year.  The gift cards I earned to local restaurants are used to host people I've met through volunteer activities.  Gift cards for grocery stores help to fund purchases for my yearly appreciation gifts for our hard-working, stressed library & post office and first responders. Once I amass enough gift cards to make the S&H charges worthwhile, the cards I received to mail order clothing retailers are used for gifts,  Purchases of supplements & herbal teas are funded by gift cards I win from drug stores.  I am determined to be clever this year to continue my giving traditions without placing undue financial strain on this senior's budget.

Giving this season while also being austere means a mix of creating gifts, using gift cards and rewards earned through AARP Rewards and other programs and shopping when the sales are on! I like to earn gift cards through out the year and then redeem them for gifts anytime of the year when the items are further discounted, like around holidays, off seasons, Black Friday (which lasts all of November at some stores), and on cyber Monday. I like to stack up gift cards and sales for deep savings on a few desired items. I also bake and gift breads, cookies, muffins and scones and wrap them pretty with a box of nice tea. I like to gift various spreads, nuts and fruit using grocery

rewards and sales. I love giving naturally scented hand soaps, spices, teas and candles with natural scents of the season and festive cotton had towels. I also make holiday cards, ornaments ad plant arrangements to gift. I like to adorn the gifts with thrifted ornaments with themes that resonate with friends and family like pine trees, angels, stars and snowflakes. These thrifty ideas help me enjoy thinking of others while I’m curating seasonal gifts and staying in a healthy budget that doesn’t feel restrictive.
