Welcome to the AARP Rewards Travel Contest 2022.  This contest will run from Monday, May 9, 2022 until Friday, May 27, 2022. 

 

Where is the first place you plan to travel now that Covid restrictions are lessening and why? How are you using AARP Rewards to save money on your trip?

 

Tell us what you are planning to do with travel opening up more after the pandemic!  Answer these two questions for a chance to win one of five (5) $100 AARP Rewards Travel gifts.  All participants will receive 50 AARP Reward Points for posting their response.

    We are traveling to Madison, WI in June to attend a convention and are looking forward to using AARP discounts at restaurants along the way!

      I plan on cruising in July! I will be only on a short cruise to Mexico from Long Beach CA. My adult niece, my youngest daughter and I will be kicking up our heels for 4 days and in ports we will be using my AARP discounts on food and fun!

        We are spending three weeks in Chile trying to catch their beautiful trout. We can use all the help we can get!! Catch and release of course.

          I have travel twice out of the country since the pandemic. I love to travel, but with the inflation and cost of living pinching us, this year we will be traveling in the states. For the 4th of July week, we will be going to Pennsylvania and visiting 1 beach or lake per day. I love to be in the water. And at night we will be visiting the different culinary scenes they have to offer.  And most likely be going to Orange Beach, Alabama at the end of August, still shopping around for that one.

            I will traveling to Oregon from Florida with my 90 year old mom to visit my sister. During the pandemic my sister was unable to see us for nearly 20 months. Neither my mom nor I have ever seen Oregon. Will be searching for AARP discounts whatever direction we head towards.

            I'm a caregiver for my mom about 3-4 years now and hopefully I can get someone to come to be with her so I can take advantage of the AARP hotel travel benefit of a discounted room in the same state that I live in.             Mitch, check with senior resources in your community for respite services. Full time caregivers must get a break!! Most areas have some kind of respite service, be it in home or a facility based respite. Most nurses working respite are compassionate and very understanding. If your mother is aware of her illness, I’m sure she would go along for the plan. You’ll come back refreshed and ready for the next step in mom’s journey.

              ✈️The first place we plan to travel this summer is Florence, Italy!  🇮🇹  It is our 35th Anniversary and hubby wants to book us a "Room with a View" on the Arno. So romantic!!! 🌹 It has been a rough couple of years with Covid 😥

               

              🏦We have been banking up our AARP Rewards Savings of over $2000 💵 on things we would have spent money on anyway. This savings is helping to pay for our dream trip!! Thank you AARP Rewards 😘

              I need to go to Illinois Illinois to drive to drop off my mother in law's ashes she died during covid.  Her ashes are to be laid with her late husband.  The time will be a solemn one but also a happy 1 to see old  friends and family  Members.

              A nice trip to Nashville and then Kentucky, or cruise to Caribbean again someday after caregiving for family members during vivid.

              Scotland.  amazing scenery and historic sites.  great people.   great local small group touring companies.   good food.

              I will be going to Maui, HI to my daughter’s wedding.  I will use the AARP hotel discount for sure and the car rental discount.  I just went to Houston and used it at the hotel there.
