I am learning that debit cards are not as highly insured as credit cards. Should I use my bank debit card for gas or groceries?

Put in only what you can afford to lose just in case it's man-handled.. I use mine for groceries at specific times or a small purchase such as a birthday gift..Then you have to figure in chgs such as shpg. and handling and compare it with what would it cost if I used the car/gas to buy and the inconvenience of having to shop and carry and store and unload or what would the credit card interest be if you have a running balance this would be added to that...So the choice is yours for conveniece and savings..
