I’ve forgotten about the paper snowflakes.  Making those in elementary school was my first memory of doing those.  The folding and then cutting a design in them, revealing upon the great reveal what each unique snowflake looked like.  That craft and tie-dying  tshirts in the summer always brought a great reveal.

I do remember these; seemed like every other year one would shatter during tree "take down" activity 😉 although I suspect Mom somehow just wanted a new one for next year...

    I’m glad somebody else remembers these!  ….I have found a few at estate sales, but they are pretty scarce.

True, the "original" versions were so delicate; but I've seen new ones available online and especially on Etsy. Might be worth Google search "glass tree toppers"?

   However, I also remember that, when one burnt out, they all did, and my poor Dad was always in charge of finding the errant light and replacing it.

That’s an old one for sure!

   I  have two mid 1970/80-ish ones someone still had, in good condition, that I got on EBay many years ago, still in the boxes.  Just used it the other day,actually.  So much fun to use them!

     I’ll be using mine next week - making Christmas wreaths with green icing for the Holly and tiny bits of peppermint canes for the Holly berries!  👩‍🍳

The classics!  I’ve got that whole set still, too!

 For a while many years ago I started a cookie cutter collection during the hey-day of EBay.  I collect cookbooks as well. Sold too.  I have bags and bags of cookie cutters.  They also doubled as Play Dough cutters as well, so they were well used in this house!.  I still have them.  My favorite is a very large one of Snoopy on his doghouse!

     I collect vintage cookie cutters too and pretty much anything old that belongs in the kitchen - including mid-century “hostess” aprons.

     I have a Snoopy cookie cutter too - he is snoozing atop his doghouse with one floppy ear hanging down - it’s a red plastic one. 🤶

Yep that’s the one I have.  Red plastic with Snoopy’s ear flopped down on the doghouse.  Might be worth something, I don’t know, but that one spoke to me!

ooh, adding that hostess aprons sounds like a fun thing to collect and use.  They were quite popular and stylish.  Very cool thing to collect

That reminds me… the chair, and needing a boost up, that is.  I was in the grocery store the other day.  Why is it that the shelves are so freakin high with glass bottles on it no less?  Here I am stepping on the bottom shelf trying to reach and climb up just to get a breakable bottle.

    Does anyone else remember being taught how to put snow tires on?  And then taking them off four months later? (And fighting with those lugs?)
