All the ideas I've read on the forum about moving forward sound good. Though I'm not apt to jump into things anymore. I just found out if I have a Medicare plan in an area, then move to a different zip code I'd have to check my plan is accepted in the new area. I've found out that with Medicare there's much you don't know unless you ask. Of course you have to have knowledge and information to know what to ask. Knowledge is power, for sure. It's been almost a year and the grieving keeps popping up. I guess it stands to reason after 50 years of life. It's not only the deceased ones lives we grieve, but that was our lives too, and the missing of the familiar. I think Nicole's idea of getting up, having coffee, and going back for zzzzzz's is the best idea so far lol.

👤 ABOUT US!
▶️*** Discussions about life and NOT just about grief ***◀️
Scroll through all our pages, you may come across new and/old discussions that may help you (or you may want to add your 2 cents to).
(1) WE (folks who have lost someone/a pet they CARED about) support and share advice with EACH other. NO judgements, just luv and compassion.
(2) Some of us are still grieving YEARS after our loss and that is okay! Everyone's journey is unique. Grief has no agenda. 👍
(3) The person we cared about may have been a family member, significant other, neighbor, friend, co-worker, even a pet and so on. Bottom line, WE MISS them....

117,182 steps and 21 flights of stairs today. My mom, God bless her came over and really helped me clean up my house. I'll end up paying for it tomorrow with my back. We are supposed to get some nasty rainy weather tomorrow with potential downpours and flooding. Glad that I don't have to go anywhere except the pharmacy. I feel sorry for everyone going to the Raven's game tomorrow. Yes I live in Baltimore and actually like my team, just not sure what I think of the hype surrounding our quarterback. I've seen worse but, I have also seen much better. We get to the playoffs and then he plays horribly and we get kicked out the first round, even when we win the division. Same thing happened to the Orioles this year. Good night my friend. My love to you and hope you have a good night. Mine have been a little rough and I have had some other things going on so that's why I haven't posted anything in a while. Here's our boy.

(12/9/23) 🖐 Saturday Chat!
HOW ARE YOU? 🤔💙
Nothing like having your "online" order delivered = a gift to ME 😎 I am sitting by my window with the goal of getting my "package" from Fedex "as soon as" it arrives. Lol, between folks who have made it a "career" to REMOVE items from OTHER folks doors and the WEATHER = when I can, I retrieve mine IMMEDIATELY! 👍
One is NEVER sure WHEN item will arrive (text/email notifications DO NOT say TIME 😤), so I will vacate my perch when I grow "tired" of WAITING.....
Then check OUTSIDE when I REMEMBER or when I get BEEN DELIVERED "notification" 💃💃💃
Find YOUR PEACE,

(1) My 2 cents: Reach out to folks who CARE about you! 👍

The right people in your life will always listen. Even if you cry each time it's ok,cause one day you will laugh at the silly moments in time that we were so fortunate to have. Blessed it Be.

What has HELPED you the most on YOUR Healing Journey so far? 🤔Please stop by to share YOUR journey. Thanks! 😎
(1) ME: My daughter, this AARP Grief & Loss Forum, reading, chatting with "random" folks at Walmart 😎 and praying.

I agree. And I think prayer is the key.

I've read through several posts and as always admire everyone's efforts, and the struggle to move forward in ways we can. I agree that it's not easy to restart a life, gain new interests or pick up on old ones. Keeping up with one's own health is a challenge but necessary to prevent problems. I'm past a lot of hobbies. Tried to get interested again, but it's a no go. I never had time to watch much TV in my life. So there are lots of old shows from less complicated eras that I haven't seen. I think I'm reminded of the saying 'there's a time for everything under the heavens...'

My mind ran on you "just now" Bill @BillH490171 for a SAFE AND PEACEFUL trip THIS Tuesday 12/12/23 (mentioned in your post below). 💙💙💙
✏ (FRIDAY 12/1/23) Bill @BillH490171 wrote:Interesting day for me as I signed the burial agreement to have my wife's ashes placed in the niche we bought a few years ago. She'll be near her mom and other family members. Its been 6 months and I'm ready for this next step. I'll drive up to Ohio on 12/12. The sun is shining now after a cold rainy morning. I know she would be happy and urge me to place her there. Seems like this year is a blur at times.
Hope you all have a great weekend and let the sun shine on your lives, Bill ✏
