My boy likes the sidewalks and under cars. Lol, use to be Ms. Geraldine's car and sidewalk [still is when she randomly stops by to see her son since moving out]. Now mine since I now feed him. SMART cat!!!  👍👍👍

My local YMCA has a lot of opertunities for volunteers. Once I feel I have my feet back under me, I may give it a try.

Yes I do still volunteer. Initially, I found volunteer opportunities through a religious institution and I continue to be involved with their projects. They are very active with the community and send out opportunities monthly. I also volunteer to help out friends and neighbors both within and outside my own development. Then, I noticed a posting about a year ago from our county elections office that they needed volunteers to work at polling locations so I have signed on with them too.

(1 comment) It was the BRAND he didnot like Cadee @Cadee2719 . Found out by OPENING another pack and he literally GOBBLED it down. Gosh, I felt so bad for thinking I was his option/lol.

I tried to find packet in trash, will look again so as NOT to buy again.

It was one from Walmart.

I got a system so I DO NOT run out and have a VARIETY for him.

Hmmm, will be interesting to see IF he likes the $1.25 Dollar Tree packs.  🙄🙄🙄

Anyway, he certainly WORKED VERY HARD this morning, poor darling = following me all over my Studio Apt, luving on me, talking to me and leaving & returning several times. I guess he had gone to go see if Ms. Geraldine's son left some food on their porch.

After eating, he has been KNOCKED OUT UNDER MY CAR all day from this morning.

Opened my door at lunch time, looked at me and went back to sleep. Hey, got to get rested for TONIGHT's prowling.

Does anyone have any dogs and/or cats in your NEW neighborhood?  🤔

He seems to be the ONLY one on my level. There are 3 levels of apts on the hill. I am on 2nd, office on 1st where they flood when it rains.  😱😱😱

3rd level has some EXPENSIVE townhouses and old folks. Mainly retired military. Nice folks.

YAWNNN! Guess it is time to get up. 

Actually I did sleep in, but did get up around 9 am. Went shopping for a few items I had run out of. I spotted some Cornish game hens. I haven’t had those since my mom made them. So I got a pair and they are in the oven right now. I like picking meat off bones so this is going to be a treat. Otherwise things are going smoothly here. 
We have two cats in my apt building. A long hair pure black called Midnight and a tri colored named Morris. Midnight likes to sleep on the roof of my convertable. Midnight likes the sidewalks. Neither likes to be petted. But I talk to them.

I came across a book titled "Healing After Loss' by Martha W. Hickman ,,It's a daily meditaion for working through grief..Here is an exerpt from Jan. 7th "Regret is an appalling waste of energy. You can't build on it. It is only for wallowing in  Katherine Mansfiedl

Of course there are things we regret.  Things we wish we'd done differently.  Even where there has been time to say all the appropriate things images will flash in our minds that we'd give a lot to be able to change. Surely our loved one has forgiven us, can we forgive ourselves?

I find this book very uplifting to read on a day to day basis...Im my own life I have had both mental pain of losing  my husband and the dealing with physical body pain ..both will take time to heal....fpr tjere os always "HOPE"...

So Diane, since we are kindred spirits (nosey, but caring/lol) here is the scoop on those toes you asked about.

I think me trying to wear THERMAL SOCKS from Walmart this Winter past 2023 caused a reaction. I had stopped wearing them but the damage had been done.

So the OTHER doctor (me  🙄)  read online about Vinegar & Water Foot Soaks. It did help when I do them. Shared this with doctor.

But Blood Work on 24th will RULE OUT diabetes hopefully.

Will keep you posted.

I’m glad to hear you are on top of situation. If your sugar is a bit high you’re in luck. I’m a T2 diabetic and have been for over 40 years. So I can tell you a lot about how I deal with it. I think my background in chemistry and computer science predisposes me to problem solving. If I get annoying… just let me know.

It is a rare day that I do not walk. I find my T2 diabetes is much easier to manage if I start my day with a walk. And if I mess up my diet I can always fix it with another walk. And if I’m feeling down in the dumps … yep you guessed it I go for a walk. Maybe my name should be Dr. Walker. 😉

I’m thinking about scattering my husband’s ashes at sea. The first husband was scattered there and I’m leaving instructions I want the same. He wanted a bit to be scattered at our favorite dog park as well. We had many wonderful days at that dog park with the chihuahuas.

My surgery is on Sept. 6th a 4 steo plan..first a mapping of vein via ultrasound./surgery/followup week later then 2 weeks another follow up..So four viits to outpatient of medical bldg..Then the other leg about a month later same process..I wish it could be sooner but that's the way it is...Thank You for thinking of me..

Well, my 9pm alarm to turn on my front porch light just went off. Glad it stays set for those nights I am knocked out from exhaustion. Yes, last night was totally awful and hope tonight is better. Luv this site but some humans got to add stress to it because they can/lol 🤣😂  Had me up all night p.ssed off. But I forgive this person.  👍👍👍
