AARP Rewards system is not working today Nov 13 2025! BEWARE and don't buy gift cards right now!

I purchased gift cards using AARP rewards system. It's been more than 24 hours and I still have not received them. AARP Customer Service says it could take 5 to 10 business days for them to resolve the problem with their system. In the meantime, my money is tied up in ghost gift cards that I have not received and cannot use. Beware and don't buy gift cards until they fix their system.

is anyone having problems with the Rewards site since they have put up the repeating FLASH SALE message that obliterates everything else. I have called, chatted with multiple agents and screen shared. They suggest mundane outdated remedies, that show they are not well trained and do not know all aspects of the site. No one was able to help.  Sorry but I blame management, I think we need changes.

I am having the same problem with Flash Sale endlessly repeating. I've cleared out Cache, cookies, etc and it hasn't cleared up the issue.

I’m on iPad not having problem. If it’s a video and you’re on windows see if you can right click on it, and stop the loop, @GrahamG635347

P. Please review my chats today, to see details. The last one was with Cleo, the one before with Alexander F. Alexander screen shared, to be honest I felt he knew nothing about how the Rewards program worked. I suggested that they escalate the problem to someone in IT , they said they would document it?

Hi Diana — I’m jumping in here because I’m dealing with a long‑running account issue and I currently can’t reply in most of the AARP Rewards or Points Redemption threads.
My account has been partially restricted for months. In most areas, the reply button is greyed out. Access briefly returned once, then disappeared again. I can only reply in a few isolated threads like this one, not where the issue actually needs to be addressed.
I’ve contacted support multiple times and the case has been escalated, but nothing has changed. I also have a large points balance I can’t use because I can’t participate normally.
If you’re able to review my account permissions and whatever backend flags control posting access, I’d appreciate it. Something appears to be stuck on your end.
Thank you for taking a look.

Same here... I didn't get my Lowes Gift Card but the site says I used 16000 points.

This likely happened to many people since the cards are now sold out.

I used 28,000 points to get $5 GC for Walmart and have not received it. Usually, I receive the email shortly after redeeming.

Support is useless and the escalations department that is supposed to call or email you will never do so. It typically takes a BBB complaint to get anything resolved and even that route takes 2-3 weeks.

Awe that stinks. I guess I will check out the BBB. Thanks.

I'm having problems reviewing my point transactions, it is only showing me the last 10 activities, the tab at the bottom of the page for see more activity is not showing, however on the other tabs like adjustments,  redemptions, point expirations, purchases, all have the more tab.  I just had a 45 minute chat trying to get this resolved, they want me to change my setting so I see all ads.  I asked why would I want to see all these ads?  I had no trouble viewing my transactions which I did daily.  Until now.  So their solution is for me to spend who knows how long actually talking with them.  Not gonna happen.  AARP please fix your site.
