@poppy89 @tribble22 @MariaK113398 @KellytheBelly @rednexsrus Hey everyone, the Walmart instant win was not suppose to be posted and it has been removed from the catalog. There may not be an instant win every day, but please know that we are always working to identify new items to add to our catalog.

Wondering why the Walmart Instant Win even appeared in the first place if it wasn't supposed to be posted?? There seems to be more "take aways" lately. There are less points only $10 gift cards being offered (none this month so far), and now only 6 Instant Win games.

@JoLo49 Hi JoLo
JanelleM posted this 7/6/2023 "Hey everyone, the Walmart instant win was not suppose to be posted and it has been removed from the catalog."
Hard to believe some low level IT employee would be able to pull something like this on their own.
Where did they find the Walmart Instant Win tile ?? Are they sitting around somewhere on a shelf ?? How many more $25 IW's are there just sitting around on that shelf ???
Is there a supply of Points Only gift cards just sitting next to them too ??
We have only seen two $5 points only gift card so far this month.
What's up with that !!!!!
We need a lot more transparency to be forthcoming on matters like this.

Hey, Lucy. This has happened before. They released the same-type of Walmart IW where it was a special one 1-30 or 25 winners, and that one disappeared, too. This happened a few months ago. A lot of hoopla then, and a lot of hoopla now, with the same confusion. It's not even thoughtful to come back with, 'Sorry for any confusion,' because there were many posts of confusion, all over the board. The above-mentioned was just dismissive on AARP's part. After further investigation, AARP realized a Walmart instant win just happened to be released as soon as some people started posting that there were only 6 instant wins, and that the Walmart instant win would disappear and come back, and this happened for days, until Janelle came in here to state that it was never meant to be posted, in the first place. This is simple dismissiveness, and also intentionally posted on AARP's behalf to create this exception of error. All is fine, all is good, nothing to see here. 'We should not have posted this instant win, although we eventually posted the rules, and then removed the rules, then made an announcement that this should never have been posted.' Sorry for any confusion. And, did anyone actually/successfully use their points to play the instant win? Will they get their points back/returned? What AARP did was called, 'Buying time.' Janelle posted first, sorry for any confusion, then much later posted that the Walmart instant win should never have been posted (I'm imagining she spoke with someone interoffice about it, they told her what to say, and she wrote it here, probably verbatim). The Walmart instant win was what I call, 'fluff.' It was a 'fill in the gaps' or a void of the 7th instant win that never existed, and still does not exist. Then, we're told, well, there won't always be a new instant win daily. Amazeballs. Bouncy, bouncy, indeed!
P.S. Remember how nothing was working for the last six months of 2022? I think AARP actually hired some pro IT people to fix their mess. I think those same pro IT people tried to train the AARP people, but for only a short time. This would explain the hidden redemptions. They would actually be called, 'misfiles.' I think AARP spent good money to hire expert - professional IT peeps just long enough to fix the big mess last year, and then very briefly (attempted to) train the AARP I.T. ITs. Thus, these apparent catalog misfiles, are due to someone omitting the 'category type' in their coding. That seems obvious. Thus, I don't trust the rewards catalog because, seriously, who willy-nilly decides to search 'cost' or 'container store' in the search field to find available redemptions? That'd be utterly ridiculous, and not right at all!!! Yeah you are correct BUT just watch You win one on Monday (congratulations) and say 3 weeks later on Friday you luck up and win another (WOW) and then admin steps in and voids the 2nd win because the bogus rules only allows one win per sponsor, or some other made up excuse.
The removal of the $25 Walmart Instant Win without any explanation proves this administrator is not above suspicion.
I think a poke in the eye with a sharp stick would feel better than the respect and treatment we are receiving from AARP

Yes, there are 6 IWs available (AGAIN)...
$10 Athleta eGift Card* (7/4/2023)
$10 Amazon eGift Card* (7/3/2023)
$10 AMC eGift Card* (7/2/2023)
$10 AMC eGift Card* (6/30/2023) <== The missing Walmart IW came after this one (for the 7/1/2023 release), was not there at reset (there were only 6), then the Walmart IW was added to the catalog a few hours later, was there in the catalog for maybe a day, off and on, and has now completely vanished. (@AARPJanelleM -- Please help! When will the Walmart Instant Win will be added back to the rewards catalog, or when there'll be a 7th instant win added. Thanks!)
$10 Bertucci's eGift Card* (6/29/2023)
$10 Steak n Shake eGift Card* (6/28/2023)
