โ€ฆ..and into the early 60s too!  Geez, I remember those drills too!  (And the boys wearing ties and the teachers checking that our skirts were not too far above our knees! ๐Ÿ™ƒ)

I believe that this is a really old car jack, but I might be mistaken.

Have one in kitchen drawer plus got the pick's that go with it. What I don't have is a pecan tree.

Mine had a horn, a basket and about a $1,000,000 worth of baseball cards in the spokes.

I own three sets of jacks and challenge my "little" sister when we meet at my mother's house.  Pity: my nieces and nephews never could get the hang of it.

My ironing skills sucked with or without this.

โ€ฆ..sitting here sipping my morning coffee and I saw this post and smiled.

I dislike ironing!  It is my least favorite chore and I lose patience with it very quickly.  Any chore - scrubbing the shower door water spots off with vinegar/baking soda, shoveling snow, cleaning the dryer vent - all pale in comparison with ironing!  Good thing Iโ€™m not an Edwardian Ladyโ€™s maid! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Everyone reading this - have a great day and only do the chores that you feel like doing! ๐Ÿ˜‡

We had a flour sifter at my mother's house, but now I use a long handled sifter/strainer that has multiple uses.

Does anyone sift flour anymore?  Is it necessary?  (Me -- not a baker.)

I am not a baker either.  I only periodically bake, which means my flour often sits for over a month.  While I have a sifter, I donโ€™t use it anymore.  I cheat and use a whisk! ๐Ÿ˜Š

So far - no lumps - no disasters.
