Games not loading properly

Many of the games are just not loading properly. They display oddly then when trying to start one, they just keep loading without starting.

1st clue: It does this in both Edge and Chrome

2nd clue? When I adjust the viewing scale using the "shift" + "mouse wheel" Only the vertical scale changes, like it isn't linked to the horizontal scale.

Someone has changed the program somewhere and perhaps this can help the debuggers find it.

We're experiencing an intermittent technical issue that is preventing some games from loading. Our team is actively working to resolve it, and we appreciate your patience.

Something went wrong nonstop on all games. Are they outsourcing i.t now?

Is this because they're forcing people to get the app? I don't want the app, fix the games!!

@KeithB29442
The games are hosted here by AARP, from the game giant, Arkadium You can play the same games on their website as well.  Problem is not with the game company….

I received a reply from Arkadium support just after midnight (PST) last night regarding my case number from several days ago when I emailed them to see what was going on. "The bug is still in progress. Please, allow us some time". "Vladamir" at Arkadium did not specify whether the bug was at their end or AARP's website but this morning the 2 Solitaire games I play are loading and displaying normally again.

Thanks for the update, @stevenj49 .
The way to test it is to play a game here, and play the same game on Arkadium’s website.

Same problem here - two different PCs. Chatted with a bot on AARP site and then a real person. Gave the same answers that I got with random search of problem. No fixes. Acted like I was the only one with this problem, but I see that I am not. In addition, showed my reward points that expired in Feb were zero - now it shows that I had almost 35,000 "not used". Aargh!

Thank you for the reply of 3-5-26. Hopefully this issue is fixed - today had no problems loading and getting points (first time all month!).

The issues have issues.  Same as yours but constantly get Something Went Wrong" with games, often can't get to many things directly even when it's a notification about an article of interest, or an email notification...takes me all over the place, getting blank page when try to sign in...on and on and on.  Definitely did something but was never particularly user friendly and IT not helpfu.

AARP Rewards website is a disaster that is getting worse all the time.

I have no idea who takes care of the website, but they should be fired as soon as possible.

I couldn't agree more. There is no consistency, far too many "bugs", too long to fix things, and never responses to complaints.

I am having the same problem.  It will load for certain games and appear larger on screen and not load on others.  I have tried 3 different browsers and it is doing the same. there.

No one seems to care about this problem as well as all the others on the website.

I agree!  I have tried to report this on Facebook messenger and just keep getting amessage on how to fix it by clearing the cache and updating browsers.  All of my browsers are up to date and I have cleared my cache.  Hasn't worked!

Yes, that's what they keep telling me. It's NOT us, it's them.

Evey day it's different. Some won't load, some load but don't give points, some give points if you play a second time and a few work normally. I'm confused that no one is trying to fix this. I really enjoy the games for points, but it's so frustrating to play your best and you get no points.

Codeword worked for me today but the Hurdle and Scramble Words pages did not load properly. There are other threads regarding this issue in other forums as well.

Yep, same types of problems as reported. I have tried Chrome and Firefox, no difference. But, a few other observations not mentioned by others. First, for rewards games where you earn points, if it loads "large" and successfully loads, you will not get the points at completion. Second, there does see mto be atime of day component, because I have found that when I try some games in the morning (my time, not sure what clock the website uses) they will not load, but then if I try say at 10 pm, the game will load in the regular size. Third, I tried contact Arkadium, and was not able to submit my message - the submit button just did nothing despite several clicks on my part. This is very annoying - almost makes you want to cancel your AARP membership and go somewhere else to play games!

Arkadium says it's an AARP problem. I got a response from them within minutes when I complained this morning.  If only AARP were that prompt addressing their issues.

I am using the latest up to date Safari browser. The 2 games I play frequently, Classic and Klondike Solitaire, load up and are playable however they look either normal - the way they have always displayed or, just in the last few days, suddenly distort into this huge game board which has shifted over to the left. I've contacted Arkadium - no response other than "check your settings". Right clicking on the URL box allows one to make the image larger or smaller but what comes up is an error page. I tried to get to the games by going to the AARP main website page and clicking on games. The page loaded but a never ending list of "Flash Sale" "2 more years for $25 with Automatic Renewal + $5 Amazon Gift Card. Exp 3/18." comes up and keeps endlessly populating so that you cannot actually click onto the game itself. This leads me to think that if one actually clicked on one of these Flash Sale banners they could possibly infect their device. And also that the problem is this website. I tried doing a "Chat" earlier today but basically you are on hold until a live agent can respond ands I gave up and will try again tomorrow.

Someone mentioned this in a previous thread.  Go to Recently played.  I was able to load from there.
