Melissa Etheridge   one of my favorite artists.  If you havn't heard this.. give it a try.   I saw her in New York at a sold out concert, playing alone.. no band, and the house was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop.. until the end of the song and then the entire audience sang along with her..  I will never forget that concert..  She was jaw dropping good

For the past week or so, I have been giving a lot of listening time to Elton John's song, EMPTY GARDEN, which he dedicated to the memory of his friend, John Lennon.  I have been listening to the song repeatedly, & it does not require a fabulous vocal range to sing along, so I am enjoying that aspect of the song also (though any one within range of my "singing" likely does not find it nearly as enjoyable as I do!)

I like listening to modern country and smooth jazz.  Modern country is just rock 'n roll these days and smooth jazz is a place for really talented rock players.  Still like soul and rhythm and blues too!
