Happy Birthday bassist John Deacon! We love you! Queen has reigned atop my faves list since 1976. Altho I could never hold a candle to his amazing talent, Freddie Mercury was the key inspiration for my becoming a musician/singer-songwriter. 🎂

Happy belated 52nd bday, Georg Albert Ruthenberg, aka Pat Smear! From the Germs, to Nirvana, Foo Fighters, 45 Grave, the Adolescents, Twisted Roots, Nina Hagen, et al, we were there, down in front nearly from the get-go, frantically slamming to that manic black Hagstrom of yours! You made even the best bands you played with better, simply via your musical contribution to the band's sound as a whole (not Hole, though granted, that's a story all it's own; perhaps another day). Your musical talents were always lauded by my ex, Lino "Lousy" Ochoa (R.I.P.), founder/vocalist/song-writer of 80's L.A.'s infamous, OG, Mid-City, thrash/speed-metal punkrock quartet, Crankshaft (Mystic, Smoke Seven, Bomp, Puke & Vomit, etc). An L.A. native, which I was not, Lino reveled in recounting tales to me of those early Masque gigs I regretfully missed, as I was only 15 in '78 & hadn't quite yet made it to the Best/Left Coast. But when I did get there, you best believe we hit the streets running, making every show we could afford to attend. I hope you had a blast on your birthday, that there will be many more to come, & that you never cease to shred. Rock on, Pat, kick-a** guitarist & good man, who was madly respected by my old man. Take care now, sharonthedyslexicmess in NorCal.

"I'm having such a good time - I'm having a ball!" Happy Birthday Freddie my love (Farrokh Bulsara, aka Larry Lurex; 5 September 1946 – 24 November 1991). I've been a Queen fan since I was 14 years old. I'm 58 now, & to this very day, your voice still "takes my breath away." Blessed be He - the best vocalist in the history of Rock and Roll, with bandmates whose musical talents are still 2nd to none. Rock in Peace, Mr. Mercury, and Rock on, Queen: my earliest, most-beloved & strongest inspirations for becoming a musician, & a vocalist in particular. Endless gratitude for a lifetime of unsurpassed, superb-quality music. Although you were taken from us much too soon, your contributions to the music industry shall indeed last forever. SRW in NorCal.

🌚This is my 1st time to this part of the site. Last nite I listened to "Dark Side of the Moon" in it's entirety before going to sleep for the 1st time since I was 14 (I'm 58) & fell in luv w/it all over again. Tonite I find this page & discover it was PBS' feature LP 2 wks ago. Great minds? Interesting coincidence? Or perhaps a bit o' both?🌝
