Home Depot Sweepstakes

On the Home Depot Sweepstakes this month, August, the rules state that I can only enter 280 times.  If I enter today, August 31st, I will have 290 entries.  Will I uselessly use 1000 points for 10 entries if I enter today?  It appears that the screen will let me enter today even though I have 280 entries.
