The points filter isn’t working properly this month.

this is how I find new gift cards

i go to redeem rewards then I pick all rewards

then for the filter I pick retail and dining 

do not pick for points

you have to scroll down a bit and the new ones have been grouped together.

 Anyone else have problems redeeming Albertsons Companies Gift Cards at Safeway?

I was unable to use at self-check and was directed to the one open check stand which after waiting in line and multiple attempts was able to make purchase. The next time after waiting in line the cashier was not able to complete. I called card services and was told that I needed to print out the QR code on paper and the first time I tried the cashier was very confused but after trying a few times it went through, and I immediately went to get the hot deli that I wanted and was able to purchase at self-check with no problem. Since then, it hasn't worked at self-check, and I am unwilling to wait in line to see if it will work. 

At self-check the QR scans from my phone's wallet or the printed paper and asks for pin but fails and states it cannot compete the purchase. The stores Customer Service personnel offer no solution but to call Albertsons corporate number.

The first time I us3d it at self checkout, I tried and the clerk tried several times. Then the manager did it and it worked but he didn't do anything different than us.

the second time at self checkout out I scanned it three times and then it worked.

the last time the clerk took it to her station to ring me up and it worked,

I guess I will think about if it is worth it to get another gift card

I have had this problem multiple times with Vons/Albertson's/Safeway over the last few years. It is that the cashiers do not know how to enter them correctly. Every time a higher level manager has to come over to show them how to do it. What bothers me most is when they argue with me that there is no balance on the gift card, insist I am wrong, and are dismissive of me.

The more experienced cashiers know how to use the Albertson/Safeway gift cards by pushing the right buttons on the register and then scanning the gift card and inputting the PIN.  I have used the Safeway gift cards without any issues.

 Happen to be online here and saw your post. These cards are not useable in self check. Went to cashier checkout and it took several tries to get it work and was a long time. I'm not interested in buying these again.

Possibly if you went to Customer Service they might exchange it for a card that worked in self serve for you.
