(12/24/22) Hi @MsStretch , the 62Β° request was in some online thing I read from a power company, not mine.
Lol, my thermostat is now at 65Β°, hot flashes are on vacation = freezing. When they kick in, thermostat is lowered as I wear thermal everything including socks. Start to sweat. π± So it is a whatever does not make me sweat and/or increase my bill and hopefully help out with getting power back on for my neighbors.
I guess it takes losing power for "selfish" folks to do the right thing. NO warming centers here. They called themselves making the library down the hill one TODAY 11am to 6pm. π
In Florida we had several emergency shelters open when a hurricane was heading our way.
I do not know what I would do IF I lost power. Summer, I am fine, but TONIGHT!!! π±

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - Appalachian Power says as of late Saturday evening, power was restored for nearly 50,000 customers.
However, Albemarle, Amherst, Floyd, Nelson counties have an estimated restoration of Monday night. Bedford, Botetourt, Campbell, Franklin, Henry, Patrick, Pittsylvania and Roanoke Counties have estimated restorations of Tuesday night.

They are saying MAYBE Tuesday for my area. Oh my goodness, those poor folks who do not have a generator or fireplace or a place to run to.
