AARP Magazine Oct/Nov 2025: misleading info.

 In the Shopit Now section, under Travel / Real Estate, under time “4. Amtrak,” you state, “Seniors 65+ travel for 50% off every train, every day.”

I thought, wow, and immediately went to the Amtrak website, where I learned that 

Amtrak provides a 10% discount for seniors with some restrictions.

The website link you provide under your claim about 50% discounts indicates that discount only applies to Amtrak Downeaster, which travels from Brunswick, ME to Boston, MA.  So this savings does not apply to many of us who live in other states.

I have lost interest in taking the time to look at the other ShopitNow listings.

Always fine print everywhere in everything I’ve learned,  or the ever handy “subject to change”. if something is too good to be true, it usually is, I’ve found.  Let them know.  👍
