Switch to Same Plan (G) but with or without Wellness

Can you switch from a plan G with Wellness to a plan G without wellness (or vice versa) without triggering underwriting?

Check with a S.H.I.P. in the county or state where you live.  Some states require the carriers to let you switch without underwriting any time of the year, some around your Birthday, and some around other times of the year.  there are more states that won't let you change anytime without underwriting.  look up "Medicare School" on YouTube and search back for the last few months of videos.  They detail the procedures and which states allow every method.

Thatโ€™s gonna depend on some details like what state you are in and their rules on switching medigap plans and even the insurer since you are talking about the same insurer, same plan just without the wellness part.

Check with your broker or the insurer on your request - what rate you will get and how to do it - get it in writing before dropping the current one.

There really isnโ€™t Medicare rule for what you want to do - so it is up to either the insurer or your state rules on switching medigap plans.

Medicare.gov - Can I change my Medigap policy?

Google this and read more about it. "is underwriting required if I switch supplemental plans" There are rules that depend on factors you haven't mentioned. I am not an expert so I can't give you specifics.
