Tell us about yourself:
I recently retired from a career in information technology. I'm also interested in investment, taxes, and the financial details around Medicare and Social Security.
Area of knowledge and what I know well:
I spent the last ten years writing Java, SQL, and XSLT on a daily basis. Prior to that, I concentrated more on application design and directing programmers. I trained in COBOL and BASIC in the '80s. My first technology job was in operations mounting tapes and cleaning tape drives. :-)

@SpringIsHereSoHappy,Apologies but I generally don't play browser games so I still don't know how well or poorly the "Duck" browser performs. It works well for me in "Community".

@SpringIsHereSoHappy,I have played a few, but I don’t play them regularly. I have not played any games since I started using the “Duck” browser so that’s why I can not offer an opinion about that.

I've seen mention of problems with the Chrome browser on this site. In the Community section (forums?), I've experienced problems using "Reply" with Chrome and Edge. I've had good luck using the the DuckDuckGo browser available from duckduckgo.com. I...

We use T-Mobile Home Internet as well. I like the fact that the price doesn't go up every year. Fiber is now available in my area but I'm certain I'd have to pay twice my current rate when the introductory offer expires.

The phone in the picture is sitting right next to a router so it’s probably an Internet phone. I was reading about the copper lines that used to carry our phone calls and how they are being retired. In my area, Century Link owns those lines. I think ...
