Help and signs from loved one

I know my husband helps me often from Heaven.  I was very dependent on him, but I know he is helping me because I am doing all the things I need to do and handling it all well.  My family and friends are in awe of how well I am managing the day to day things you have to do.

As for signs, I was once going to put on a Rod Stewart CD but then remembered it had a scratch on it.  My husband was with me when I bought it years ago - my first CD ever.  But I realized it was damaged, so I put the radio on and on it was playing a Rod Stewart song.  I firmly believe it was a sign.

So... I have been having this strange thing happening to me with numbers. My husband died on 10-22-22. Not long ago I visited a friend in the hospital and when they gave me her room number it was 222. Since then, I have been getting these feelings that I should see what time it is or I wake up during the night and check the clock. When this happens, the times end up being things like 1111, 222, 555, 345, etc. I did a search and found that in numerology these are considered to be angel numbers and that's a good thing. I met a friend of mine yesterday and told her about these events with numbers that I have been having. Without me telling her what I found, she knew right away what they were.

In my "very humble" opinion, I feel IF we get quiet and just BE - our luv ones will let us know they are WITH US.

Now NOT everyone's WITH US will be the same.

With me as I had shared before, every time a GENTLE BREEZE hits the TREES outside my window - it brings back a childhood of sitting in a HUGE tree and reading.

TODAY is such a day and I KNOW my luv ones are with me right now. Lol, been a VERY ROUGH WEEK, but I can honestly say THEY got me through it.

How?

Sending that GENTLE breeze throughout my VERY LONG WEEK of dispair.

HAPPY dance double time for me!!!  💃💃💃💃💃💃

Luv you guys and keep stopping by.

@jonibee

This is baffling to me - cause I hear others talk about this -

Is it because that I am not listening or did not listen that I don’t get this or ever have and believe me, I tried during the early years.

We were not only husband and wife for almost 40 years - we actually worked together for over 30 of those years.  So for much of the time we were together 24/7 - then I was his only caregiver for the last year -

We did have that last year to talk over the up and coming changes because we knew the end result - I was depressed to think about it - but he was almost excited to learn about what was on the other side.  That was just him - He did promise me some answers but I never received any.

He is always with me cause he is a part of me.  He died in 2006.

My husband died June 15th of this year. He said that could hardly wait to see what was on the other side. He was always up for the next big adventure also. It is so hard being alone.

I'm so sorry for your loss Wilma. You'll find caring people on this forum that bring you comfort. Being alone is a different experience. I recently started watching movies again. It's an engrossing activity. I try to get focused on reading a book. Even a few paragraphs in the am can get me interested in reading in the pm. Just take things slow and you will be ok. Take care 💞

Wilma @WilmaB874454 ,

I'm very sorry for the loss of your husband. Your loss is new and it is hard to be alone. In time you will explore how to cope with being alone. We are all individuals and develop our own coping strategies on our own time schedule.

I can relate to your husband's view of life because my husband's view was similar. Initially, I tried to find as much information as I could about helping loved ones transition to their next life (or to the other side). Once I felt I had done my part, I focussed on the preciousness of life. Now my goal is to live each day to the fullest since there is no guarantee of tomorrow.

Thanks for being here and hoping you will find your peace.

A book to read to answer some of your questions is "The Love Never Ends" (Messages from the other side ) by Sunny Dawn Johnson ..We were married 63 years . Signs are left that we all talk of dimes, feathers, red cardinals etc. things disappearing and reappeariing, silent phone calls rings but no one is on other end, songs that were favorites playing at a time you need them,,,a feeling of presence in the room and sometimes the room feels chilled ..Whether or not these are what they seem it's important to me to Believe just as we believe in a higher authority but don't see him...Happy memories along with not so happy memories but I choose the meaningful ones..I try to believe his guicance helps me make the right decisions in everyday life like what would Tom do..I hope this has been helpful to you and believing that we will meet again in the hereafter sustains me...

@jonibee

After 18 years since his death- nothing / nada - but maybe that’s because after a while I perhaps stopped looking and listening -

I am surrounded by the little bit of his work that is remaining in our home but have changed my living environment only slightly.  He did leave me a list of “Things To Do” and I completed them years ago.

Perhapa it was that in the beginning I not only had to deal with the unbearable grief of his death - I also had to figure out how to support myself.  I had to find and create an income stream from his work, of which there was no more to come, and our investments..

I was also busy taking care of a very physically & mentally ill mother - finding a place for her to live was no easy task.

With his death, our social network also left - no more married couples stayed in the realm of friendship after a while.  The travels all left with him too - I was not interested in putting myself out there for new travels, making other friends or a new mate -

I am content to be an introvert -

So I guess, LIFE got in the way of listening or experiencing a link to him.

I envy you and your forward looking life.

Thank You

I use to get really SAD whenever SPRING arrived with all the BLOSSOMS. But THIS SPRING, I take it as a REMINDER from my Grandma who luved her garden [I grew up watering it during my Summer Holidays with them] THAT SHE SEES ME/BESIDE ME  🤗

Reading about your Grandma I'm reminded of an incident. While approaching the house of a friend, I passed the mailbox. And a very old woman in a kerchief and long cotton skirt taking mail from the box. I said Hi as I had never seen her before. She nodded and said she had to get her mail. I went into the house and asked my friend who the woman was. A puzzled frown crossed her brow. Did she wear a kerchief and long skirt? I nodded, yes. She said it sounded like her grandmother who she spotted occasionally. She had been dead for many years!

I was being "lazy" about posting this Marcy @MarcyW882921 , but I must say the WIND has been VISITING the huge tree outside my window THIS WEEK.

Hmmm, just realized (this moment) I AM FINALLY CALM today. Aha, IF I had been "paying attention" THIS WEEK = my rough days would not have happened. 🙄

As I had shared, it reminds me of a HAPPY childhood memory - sitting in my tree (yes, mine/lol 🤣😂) and reading and napping.

On WINDY DAYS, never fell out. 💃💃💃

So thank you whomever (someone who luvs me and knows the week I have had). 💙

Lesson learn't - pay attention to my surroundings. Loved ones will be trying to soothe us..... 👍

I'm so glad you posted this. If we are mindful, grateful, and in the moment it can have profound effects on our emotional and physical being. Someone was speaking with you this week, taking you back to those happy times, and bringing you a sense of calm. That is so great!

So...The day of my Mom's celebration of life there was a rainbow. It seemed that any significant event that happened relating to my Mom that year was on a day that had a rainbow. I would get this feeling when there was a rain and I would run out and there it would be!

This is the second part of the story. My husband was the only one I could ever remember who told me I was beautiful.

So today was one of my husband's first anniversaries of his passing. On the way back home from my bereavement group meeting that was a bit emotional for me, I stopped at a charity to drop off some donations. As the guy was writing my receipt, he said "I hope you don't mind me being so bold, but you are a beautiful woman." This evening I was returning from my husband's service and it was raining. A beautiful rainbow appeared in the sky and I have not seen one this whole past year that my husband has been gone!

I do believe both of these things were signs from him on a day that he knew would be particularly difficult for me.✏
