My husband was a psychologist and loved doing dream interpretation. He has done mine for all of the years we were together and most of the time he laughed at them. Sometimes he would tell me what was so funny, but not always.

Carol @CarolD435501, I'm so glad you decided to go out for dinner and that you enjoyed it! We have a lot of time to be home alone, so it's good to get out with people when the opportunity presents itself. Hang in there and it's good to hear from you!

Yes, Nicole, those annoying house things like tackling closets, getting rid of gadgets etc that don't work anymore. Generally, just keeping up with things.

One of my favorite activities is dropping in to see how everyone is here on the forum. I'm sorry for all your losses and applaud your efforts to overcome challenges on your own. And to care how others are doing during your own challenging times. Remember you're not alone. Your guardian angels are near. And have come to your assistance many times already, if you think about it.

Just  checkng in I'm dealing with Carpal Tunnel syndrone in both hands so I limit what I am doing down to the minimal..Moderate state and am following instructions as to how to deal with it via Orthopedic doctor/surgeon. Hopefully it will subside to the point I can participate in things that I love doing such as knitting and holding a book to read. Yes I too have dreams for the most part good some sad..Each dream usually is what we are going through or have on our mind..I try to figure out the reason behind them ..I believe this is part of the healing process also..I do read the posts even though I'm not always an active participant...

I hope you feel better! That is so painful to have in both hands. I've found some relief in natural joint supplements and herbs and spices. It can be a worry, dealing with these things on our own. But you seem to be doing very well, probably a lot better than you think. Your insight is always encouraging!

Hmm....I know kids who aren't allowed anything but carrotts and celery etc. Which is good food. Except how do they manage food when they're on their own? Chocolate with cocoa, I think 70%, is good for people. And we don't want kids eating high carb etc when they go through tough things in life.

Glad you had a fun event Nicole! Sometimes I pay attention to dreams. They do seem to interfere with rest. They're more vivid during times of stress, and grief. Take care!

Hi Nicole.  Luv You too.  I have been so busy with doctor visits.  I have another one today and one tomorrow.  Seems like I may have an autoimmune disease (unidentified as of now). I am going to an immunologist for more tests.  Always something isn't it?   Seems like it was a good idea to finally take care of "me" after many, many years of taking care of my husband.  As you say so often:  One Step At A Time

Glad you had a safe trip to the store. I try to go during non-busy times. But I go when I have the energy. I know that people are impatient when we're slow. Whether on the road or in the grocery. Home delivery is a good option for the heavier items. Take care!

Food prices have increased $1 to $5 on usual food items I buy. I don't know how families these days cope with increasing food prices.

I forgot to mention stir-fry. Easy and quick. Cube up protein and keep in freezer to throw in stir-fry. Processed food is not good for elder health. Better to stave off health challenges.

Sweet potatoes are a good buy. Good with fish. Or anything. Grainier forms of rice is filling. I soak it in broth etc for flavor and to soften. When I cook I make enough for 2-3 meals and store in freezer. Yogurt ice cream replaces the kind I prefer lol. Turmeric is good for joint pain. I put it on whole grain cereal.

I think keeping a journal is an excellent way of working through feelings and emotions. And also expressing one's pain and worries on this forum. It's definitely painful to lose people but expressing it helps to move forward emotionally.

I'm sorry about your night Nicole. Every now and then they do happen. I think sometimes we get overwhelmed with things, whatever it is we have to do. Tasks these days take a lot out of me. Just go slow. Feel better!

Hi, Nicole, always good hearing from you even if you are where you are, same as many of us.  I am finding it hard to find that inner peace myself and I also don't wake up fully rested either.  As you said, one day at a time.  We are in charge of our emotions and actions.  I like your idea of a Self-Care Day.  What do you have in mind?  It sounds like a winning way to positively recharge.  Have a relaxing day, your friend, Sue ๐Ÿ’ž
