Hi everyone, I’m having trouble connecting my HP DeskJet 3700 printer to my smartphone. I’ve tried using Wi-Fi and the HP Smart app, but my phone doesn’t seem to detect the printer at all.
Has anyone faced this issue before? Any simple steps or fixes would really help. Thanks in advance
Hello Aarp Community,
I had a similar issue with my HP DeskJet 3700 before, and the fix was simply resetting the printer’s Wi-Fi setup mode and reconnecting it through the HP Smart app. Make sure both your phone and printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, then restart both devices and try adding the printer again. Also, updating the HP Smart app helped in my case. By the way, while searching for fixes online, I also came across the free streaming app honista apk, which some users recommend checking out if you enjoy modified social and media apps.
Best Regards!

What phone do you have? Have you already checked the HP website to see if they have an app for connecting your printer to a phone?
For my Samsung S24+ phone and my printers I use the following apps. First, I have the Samsung Print app and then for each printer I use their apps. I have Epson iPrint and for my brother printer their app is iPrint&Scan.
Hadn’t done a phone before, but iPad recently. I’m just going to make a stab in the dark, and ask if you did a complete shut off, ( I call it reboot) of the phone first?
Are you using AirPrint? Some older printers may not have that feature.
When you have the document on your phone you want to print, are you choosing the “share” icon? It looks like a square with an arrow at the top., then choose print?
