Just keeps going downhill !
What happened to the side margin list of topics when a video was open??? It had a list of topics such as Health, Fitness, Scams/Frauds, Top Tips, etc It was easy to click on such topics and watch a series of videos which would autoplay. I could also type in a word such as "relaxation" and it would bring up a series of videos which would also autoplay. NOW that whole screen is gone and the search feature doesn't work- Seriously your website is a mess and it seems more disappointing every week. Between the constant technical fixes, error messages and days needed to fix, and now THIS mess with not being able to easily search for favorite videos, I am seriously considering just walking away and never looking at this account again !

OMG... It's been 6 1/2 weeks since 12/20/24's shut-down for "maintenance" and the site is still not working correctly...or maybe it's "working as designed." Weekly videos default to "5 Things to Do,"
even some of the monthly videos are defaulting to the same thing now. Plus, many of the other videos either don't award points or default to a different video than the one selected. Obviously, the AARP IT Dept. doesn't know how to fix things or they just don't care. Can't stop worrying about the accuracy of the other AARP websites. Sorry for the cynical attitude, but this mess has really disappointed me.

SNAFU and FUBAR sound familiar? Remember Radar O'Reilly? So, for now, learn to work what works the way it will work.
A lot of shorter videos seem to be missing, so it defaults to 5 things weekly, currently aka wildfires.
I have found a couple shorter vides that run, don't show points awarded that they don't, so believe and mark it so you won't waste your time on it again.
For now there are enough 10+ min vids you can max your points on each day. There looks to be enough weekly to mix in 10+%.
From about 97 - 2017 I had an 87 volvo wagon, one of the super boxy ones. A second hand buy I drove it over 20 years until it was near 400K miles. If you knew all its quirks, it got you where you needed to go. Not in comfort, not in speed, but you got there.
For a time long enough I count it in years, I have believed the site issues here was due to contractors. What seems apparent is AARP not acknowledging failure to users and they show an inability to fix internal departments.
No matter, expect more changes to this farpotshket program.

Me too, my eye sight is poor so I have set my computer to enlarge the text. The videos now only show about the top 1/3 of the picture. If I want to watch one I have to keep adjusting the size of the image, this just makes watching them irksome rather than enjoyable.

I am having the same problem. I am trying to view a video to complete extra rewards but I see the wildfire video instead of the video I need to view to complete the extra credit lesson. I did chat with support who said they would report the issue. However today is the last day to complete the lesson so I can get the AMC gift card. I don’t know why support was not already aware of this problem as I spent 30 minutes with them with no resolution.

Is it possible what your are calling the Wildfire video is the Top News or 5 things to know?
That is what I see currently. I suspect that is because the link I used from AARP Earn Menu is out of date and the Video you are wanting to watch is Farpotshket (broken because someone tried to fix it). I have only noticed this on shorter videos. Denise Austin might be missing some royalty payments.
I have not done the math, but if we have indeed lost many of the shorter videos, especially those with an "earn weekly" opportunity we are not likely to have enough videos under 10 minutes to cycle through a month without watching a lot of the 10+ minute earn daily videos for those that like to max out.
Don't Panic, Stay Calm, Go with the Flow, Unexpected Change is Stressful, but stressing isn't going to change anything.
I know I have been embarrassed by butt dialing someone on my iPhone and while that was impossible on our old beloved rotary dial phones, those old phones are not coming back.

First of all, lost a whole day (1/29). Now the "Earn Weekly" videos auto-default to "Wild Fires." Other "Earn Monthly" videos run but don't reward points. Only quizzes work as expected, but screen size is definitely a problem... have to set my17" screen laptop view size to 67%. Do you think the Rewards website admin is slowly trying to stop people from using it?

This may (or may not) be a beginning step to recovering the value of rewards points.
These changes might be an attempt to add some validation to the rewards program, maybe an attempt to thwart the rumors of bots or users gathering points without interacting or consuming the content.
Much like the inconvenience of two step verifications, dreaded CATCA's, password attempt lockouts simply because you did not notice your caps lock was on, things will always be changing
