And now we can neither earn nor redeem points

Just when you think that things are as bad as they can get with AARP's IT Department, somehow they manage to make things even worse.  This evening the clock didn't reset, so not only can we not earn any new points, we also can't redeem our points on things we did last night (like playing instant win or entering sweepstakes).  I thought that the constant tech problems with Rewards was just incompetence, but now I'm starting to think that they're actually trolling us.

Instant wins not working.   No points for a very long game that usually gives points (Outspell).

Maybe i should work around the house instead, lol.

I have been chatting with them DAILY on this recent maintenance issue and each time they say they are putting in an escalation ticket on my behalf and although they gave me points it does not help wanting to use them for rewards etc.  I was able to use points this afternoon but have not been able to earn anything since over 24 hours ago.  They are truly faultering and very quickly but what do they care?  They are getting more for memberships and if the majority of memberships don't even use the rewards program, more money for them.  I hope I can get my third reward before the clock strikes Feb 1.

AARP is just a mess. They locked my account with no reason. I am not able to do any redemption this month, play instant wins or participate in sweepstakes. The same as you I chatted with their agents a few times and they said they were placing an escalation ticket. The specialist was supposed to email me in 2-3 days but 9 days passed and there has not been any emails from them. I don't have a messenger tab and their agents can't fix it. I paid $35 for Macy's card. No card no refund. They say sorry for inconvenience but they do nothing to fix all those "inconveniences". They just don't care.

not sure what one person can help with if the entire organization does not work together

☹️

I can just image.

I don't use those things re: points, but I do use AARP with hotel reservations, when able to.

Most times rooms cost MORE than the hotel rewards program rate if I choose AARP rates instead, so I can't use AARP membership in those instances. May need to let AARP go even though I've been a paying member since before turning 50 over 13 years ago. Now, the best thing about them seems to be the pictures of the stars they highlight on their magazine.
