I "disagree" (this one should NOT be on list) - money is short, economy "iffy" = more folks doing their own travel arrangements. Nicole ๐
โถ๏ธ9. Travel agent. Increase in jobs: 19.7 percent.
Average hourly wage: $22.39.
While this profession seemed poised to become a casualty of the rise of websites that help people book travel on their own, jobs in this industry actually are expected to rise over the next decade, according to the BLS. With many people eager to start globe-trotting again after years of being relatively homebound, businesses such as hotels are hiring additional help to manage reservations.โ๏ธ

Sorry, @Anonymous, but you have some incorrect information in your comments above. First and foremost, the economy isn't iffy at all. Unemployment is the lowest since 1969. As far as money being short, that, too, is incorrect. Consumers are keeping the economy out of recession with their spending, and one place they are really spending is travel. So much money is being spent on travel that all the airlines are raising their earnings estimates for the year. There are so many people from the United States that are visiting the tourist areas in Europe that those areas are now being described as so overwhelmed with tourists that it is like MARDI GRAS each and every day as far as crowds go.
