The fall is one of the best times to get a new job, as vacation season ends and back-to-school season starts. Businesses are also eager to hire to help them meet year-end goals and get a head start on the new year.

Itโ€™s an annual phenomenon thatโ€™s known as the โ€œSeptember Surgeโ€ in human resources circle.

I luv the following "suggestion" from the article. We are NEVER too old to LEARN.

โžก๏ธ[*** Show youโ€™re eager to grow: Age discrimination often hinders job opportunities for older workers, so itโ€™s important to be proactive about countering any potential bias.

Take care,

Are you being sarcastic?

I am not trying to start anything with you - I am just unclear about your comment, rather the meaning of the comment.

@GailL1 , why would this comment be sarcastic?

Because I donโ€™t understand your comment here  - sarcastic was a guess (thus the ? ) based on another recent post you made about the June job market report for older Americans. When you said . . .

โ€œNOT everyone who is "laid off" can find another job or in time to save their roof over their heads. And numbers in some report is NOT from "real life" where a person has been laid off [me twice] and my neighbors. Time for some "compassion" here. The folks who have been with large companies forever, are now older and donot have the "skills" now in demand.โ€

So are we never too old to learn or not?  Just clarify that is all I am asking.
